Autograph???
You are on Tyra's website! Nikki included you in her article.
LOL, I was so clueless as to what you were talking about. I made a long very detailed to-do list and I couldn't find it so I couldn't make sense out of anything at that time. Of course you can have my autograph. LOL

I decided not to wash my hair lastnight. I put a few curlformers in the front and slept in them. This is my hair today. I'm trying to wrap gifts and get them under the little tree in the family room. I put fake gifts under the tree in the living room........I plan to do my hair either today or tomorrow. I'm going to give the curlformers another try and if my curls aren't to my liking the curlformers will have to go under the cabinet until the summer

Re: nmoultry hair journey
I've decided to incorporate the curlformers into my regimen. The more I thought about it the more I realized they could actually be beneficial. How?? Well when I used them they got my roots super straight. I'm going to use them as a roller set instead of using the magnetic rollers. I can wear a curly look for a couple of days and then wrap my hair and wear a straighter look. I'm going to try it after all of the Christmas preparation. If it doesn't work as planned no one will ever know LOL....
This will be my alternative straightening method. I can have a straight look without applying direct heat to my hair. I'm so excited as if I just discovered something..LOL

Hair Today
Here's my hair today!
- I pre-poo'd with Ojon Restorative Hair Treatment
- I then co-washed with Matrix sleek (orange bottle)
- I did a deep treatment using Alter Ego Linage Shea Butter & Coconut conditioner of course sitting under the steamer for 30 minutes
- I rinsed and then applied Mixed Chicks leave-in all over my hair and sprayed my hair with setting lotion mixture, making sure my sections were thoroughly detangled
- I used curlformers to roll my hair
- Air dried for 1 hour

Re: nmoultry hair journey
Hey NMoultry! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! I have a few curlformer questions before I take the plunge and purchase them. Hope you don't mind...
1.) How many curlformers would you estimate that you use total?
2.) For shorter portions of your hair will "long" curlformers still work?
3.) I'm trying to decide on whether to get the curlformers "set" or to experiment with the different lengths/sizes first, (I'm eyeing the short & narrow ones...)what do you suggest?
4.) Do you think curlformers will be comfortable (or at least tolerable) to sleep in?
5.) What size/length did you use to achieve this look? (below)
I'm super excited about trying these out!
Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: nmoultry hair journey
Hey FreeStyles, I had a great Christmas and I hope you did as well.
1.) How many curlformers would you estimate that you use total?
I tend to love a lot of curls so I used a bunch of curlformers. I think I used over 100 just so I could get a ton of curls that would last longer. The first time I didn't use as many and my curls lasted 2 days....
2.) For shorter portions of your hair will "long" curlformers still work?
Yes I actually think the long ones work better on the shorter parts of my hair because it stretches the hair more. My hair is cut in layers and my corwn is shorter.
3.) I'm trying to decide on whether to get the curlformers "set" or to experiment with the different lengths/sizes first, (I'm eyeing the short & narrow ones...)what do you suggest?
hmmmm..well the set only comes with the larger curlformers. There are 40 long and wide and 6 short and wide. I have the set and I also have the short and narrow & long and narrow. I only have 5 or 6 long and narrow(whatever comes in that pack). When I decided that I was no longer going to straighten my hair or go to hair salon, I went to Sally and racked up on all hair rollers I could possibly need. The set is cool when you need the larger rollers, but you will probably need some shorter ones also. I use the shorter ones because I like for the top of my hair to sorta fall over the back if that makes sense.
4.) Do you think curlformers will be comfortable (or at least tolerable) to sleep in?
well......the first time I used them I tried to sleep in them. I've slept in rollers all of my life so I didn't think it would bother me. The back no problems there...the sides are another issue. You have to carefully roll them so that they will be comfortable. I got out of the bed at about 1am because those suckers were tightening up as they dried I think. I went and got under the hair dryer, let them dry and I took them out in the middle of the night...haven't tried to sleep in them sense but I think if you carefully roll the sides maybe going towards the back you might be okay
5.) What size/length did you use to achieve this look? (below)
In the back I used the short and narrow curlformers, when I reached my crown I switched to the long and wide and used those for the rest of my hair. I think I ran out of the long and wide so around my ears I used the short and wide

I am eager to try these...I am dying for some spiral curls and I can not seem to achieve them on my own. I swear I am taking a road trip to Nmoultry's house!
