Hello Ladies,

hair today was back to my normal rod set. I think I have more shine this time because I re-visited my Alter Ego leave-in serum

Very pretty! Which do you find easier...your normal rodset or the curlformers? What do you suggest for a setting lotion?

@Freestyles: hmmmm I think putting in the curlformers are easier because you do not have to worry about elastic popping you. I use a setting lotion called Vision 2000. I think any kind would work. I absolutely hate Lotta Body though. It makes my hair crunchy and I can't stand that. KeraCare makes a good foam wrap lotion and so does Mizani. I'm not sure about all natural products. I just use whatever my hair likes

Ok great, I'm going to stop by Sally's after work. Do you use a heat protectant too? If so, what do you use? Not sure if it's necessary under a hooded dryer?

Thanks girlie!

Nah I don't use a heat protectant under the dryer. I put serum on my hair but that's more for shine

I forgot to post yesterday's hair. For the most part my hair looks the same daily.

How do you do it? What is the secret? If I try to wear my hair the same daily and feel like I am going to loose my mind. I would like to do it because I know the low manipulation would be great for length retention. Advice?

Honestly lazy is the secret. I don't do twist outs because that means I have to retwist nightly a wash and go means an extra hour doing my hair in the morning (not feeling that at all). I look at rods and roller sets as a once per week thing and that's how I do it.

Laziness you say? LOL, I think I can handle that. I am about to start back school so that will keep me busy enough that I will not even have time to touch my head. Now I just have to figure out my "go to" style that I can wear all week. These are the days that I miss undergrad because I would rock cornrows week after week and sometimes never remove my hat/du-rag...now i have to be an adult-that sucks!

Yeah being an adult and this corporate America crap sucks. I have to deal with my Gov't customer for software requirements so I can't sport the corn rows to the back.....

You don't do anything when you have a roller set? Do you use big or small rollers? I usually have to pin curl my roller sets. My rod sets are care free for a week.

Yes, a video tutorial on curlformers would be great. You can share what you use and show us how you use them. I am a visual person. I need to see the step by step instructions.

I loved my curlformer results and I have you to thank! Seeing your results made me a believer!

Even though they only lasted a day...I'm determined to find a way to make them last longer next time! I'm sure my problem lies in my setting lotion mixture!

Hi there ladies,

Well I attempted to do the video until I realized the video option on my camera is a quick video (and by quick it was quick). As soon as I figure out other options I will make video
