Re: Random Teen Talk
I bought from Henna sooq online the first time but it was taking too long to get here so I went to the Indian store and bought idr the brand exactly but it was in a green package and it had a mixture of henna, amla, brahmi and brundi (?)
The last time I went I saw that they have Jamila Henna (same kind that CN uses) and so I bought 400 g of that

Re: Random Teen Talk
Experiment!
I needed something to style my hair with. I can't get to wal-mart right now so I mixed my gel, dc, leave-in and oil together and used it to style my flat twists for a flat twistout tomorrow.
Here's what I did:
(i didn't have measuring tools so these are estimates)
I mixed about 3/4 of Gel(Smooth N Shine Gellation w/Aloe Vera)
a little less than a 1/2 cup of Lustrasilk Cholestorol (Shea Butter and Mango)
a tbsp of Garnier Fructis Leave-In (Sleek and Shine)
and four drops of Africa's Best Herbal Oil
I co-washed my hair and let it dry, not completely(roots were still a little damp) and then i sectioned it off into seven sections and applied the styler and twisted away. I only applied a little bit to each section because I wasn't sure If I had mixed enough and I don't want my hair to be too weighed down. I like big hair. This is my first time flat twisting my hair so they look HORRIBLE but hopefully it turns out okay because I have a hot date tomorrow.
I'll post a pic tomorrow so you can see the results *fingers crossed*

Re: Random Teen Talk
idk? I have very little in the front, but you can tell I haven't had a relaxer in a while and I would guess and say somewhere between 1/2 in to an inch in the middle. I can't see it so it's hard to tell. The middle is the longest though.
Re: Random Teen Talk
Wow my hair grows the opposite way. The middle of my head is so stubborn and grows so sloww. It's all good though. Wen i have my hair curly its not as noticeable as if it was straight

Re: Random Teen Talk
I'm getting impatient with the front because I can't really tell the difference between the new growth and the relaxed hair yet, and I can clearly tell the difference in the middle, even though I can't see it. *sigh* sometimes I wish it was the opposite. lol

So I went buckwild in Vitamin Hut yesterday and spent like $50-60 bucks! Not regretting it yet but I probably will if I'm on the road and I want food one day LOL

yes it is!
and i do that all the time. i just pick up a few things here and there and next thing you know..."that'll be $62.47"! what!
Hopefully I don't go too crazy tomorrow when I get home. I'm going to my favorite beauty supply store to buy a half wig to help me transition...

Re: Random Teen Talk
I don't wanna sound ignorant but what's a a half wig??
and I've been transistioning the same time as you (since April 10th) and I'm really feeling the difference between my natural and texturized hair. I'm not getting frustrated yet, more like torn because I like both textures individually but together they're kinda conflicting. I love my new curlies but next to the loosened curls they look inferior :/
Wow, that's def not the word I wanted but it's so hard to explain...

Re: Random Teen Talk
it's pretty much a half of a full wig
u part ur hair in half and u pretty much juss place the half wig there with a little comb that comes on it
sometimes it is sewn or glued on

Re: Random Teen Talk
I'll post a picture of me wearing the wig I bought later on tonight.
I did good though. I only bought Creme of Nature shampoo, Hawaiian silky 14 n 1 and some headbands to go with my wig.
Oh and I bought some bobby pins so I can turn my old bantu knot outs into faux hawks. lol
I've never used E.L.F. products. I've always wanted to try their lip gloss but I can never seem to find it any store that I go in. I do plan to purchase a 88 color palette (eye shadows) from Coastal Scents next week though. Its around $20 and it has every color you could possibly think of in it.

Re: Random Teen Talk
@ afrochic I bought a lipgloss from them and it was good. Lol I'm not much of a makeup person but $46 bucks wow you must be convinced about their amazingness XD
try it and let us know!
@ ebbz i reeealy like the wig! very flattering
I bought Creme of nature today too!!! I think it's made/manufactured in Jamaica cause it was super cheap in MegaMart lol. My hair loves it! There's a spot in the middle of my hair where I accidentally put too much shampoo and no joke it feels like silk now
Guess I need to stock up on that too...
