I watched my first full episode a few days ago. It was the one where she met Big for the first time. I never really cared for it until the new movie came out. lol

EBBZ! I really really want to help you with your hair dilemma

Please tell me what went wrong with your hair and what you don't like about it (frizzy, undefined etc.)

I would tell you what I do for my hair but I really like big, only slightly defined hair so maybe that's not the greatest idea lol

Well my hair is still mostly relaxed so it's not gonna get too big. lol But I just don't get a lot of definition near my roots, just the ends, so I'm thinking I need to make them smaller so I can braid closer to the roots. And they come out kind of dry. On wet hair I used a little of my Suave conditioner and some of my hair oil. On dry hair I used the Garnier Leave In I just bought and some oil. I want definition from as close to the roots as possible but I don't want really small waves.

For me, oils work for moisturizing and sealing the ends but I always need something heavy like shea butter to keep the hair down. I have 3 inches of natural growth and the little ringlets look awkward when compared to the looser waves of my texturized ends. So, I just break a small piece of my unrefined shea butter bar (bought it online at coastal scents; $15 for a pound including shipping), dampen my hair with my spray bottle, and butter my hair down. I also sleep with a silk scarf on my head at least the first night to keep the hair in place.

Hope this helps! Shea Butter is better than gel for me

I use Africa's Best Herbal Oil. My oil works really good I just need something to hold my hair. I don't want to try shea butter until I get some more new growth so I can really see how it works on my natural hair but instead of doing it on wet/dry hair, I'm gonna try to just make it a little damp, use some of my Lustrasilk Cholesterol and some oil and see how that works. The only time I use gel is on my edges because it seem's to tangle my hair and leave it hard. But i'll def try shea butter when my hair grows out some more.

Yea I'm almost done with the whole show I don't know what I'm going to do! But Carrie is bugging me. I got through the whole Aiden relationship and she totally ruined it. Aiden > Big in my opinion.

Ebbz,
Well try to press the hair down with a tiehead or something. Oh and make sure to buy the shea butter 2 weeks before you want to use it cuz shipping takes forever.

I'll try that. Today I just did my signature twisted bantu knot out, which always works for me. I did it on damp hair with some Lustrasilk and oil and it came out so beautiful. It was soft and bouncy and probably my best one yet, so that will def be my new routine for those. But I'm gonna wash it tomorrow night and try the braid out again, using the same thing and see how it turns out.

random question...Finals: Boston or Lakers?

Yay! I just rediscovered my love for bantu knots Smile They give me such a nice curl and motivated me to stop cutting my hair and grow it out for a while... JW, how long do you keep the style for before you wash it??

Randomness: hair's great but my face is lookin' so gross. I need help!

I know for a fact my face is dry!
cuz when u wash ur face it feels like it will crack if u dont put moisturizer(sp?) on it.
but i mix some of my moisturizer with EVOO so my skin is very soft and the dryness goes away

Yes! finally something I can answer lol

I used to use lots of stuff but now I've stuck to shea butter (cocoa butter works too but the smell was forever making my family hungry lol), a tad bit of hydrogen peroxide (only use 2ce a week cuz it's drying) and glycerine works too athough I stopped using it because the parts I used on my face were getting too light.
