Re: Random Teen Talk
Right now I wash my hair Wednesdays and Saturdays w/ Suave Naturals and Pantene Nature Fusion conditioners. Wednesdays I use Aussie Moist 3 min miracle w/ oil as a deep condition and Saturdays is Queen Helene's Cholesterol. The Blue Magic is twice a week between twists.Humblebug wrote:Mz. CiCi wrote:So lately I've been using Blue Magic Coconut oil which has petroleum in it but it seems to working really well on my hair....anybody else use mineral oil or petroleum products?
On the scalp? I've used it when I've felt my ends were too dry, but I don't think it does anything for me. But I don't put anything on my scalp anymore, my hair prefers that. After researching for myself instead of reading what everyone on hair forums say, I would like to try it again, but I don't think I'm doing it right. What's your regimen?

When I'm single, guys don't bother to even look my way. Now that I have a little something going on, they're falling all over me?!

Re: Random Teen Talk
I know this is gonna sound weird but does anyone know if u have to train ur hair to be down and not out?
Re: Random Teen Talk
@mz. cici: i dont think that is weird at all! i believe u do have to train ur hair to be down and not out! just like when u part ur hair a different way then usual. u have to do it a couple of times so that part lays flat and doesnt try to revert back to it's old ways l0l! or just like when u first cut ur bangs u have to train ur hair to get use to that cut!
umm did i kinda help?!? l0l

Re: Random Teen Talk
Is it bad that I only use EVOO as a natural product and everything else is store brought and made?
Re: Random Teen Talk
Of course it's not bad. You should do whatever works for you and your hair.Mz. CiCi wrote:Is it bad that I only use EVOO as a natural product and everything else is store brought and made?

Re: Random Teen Talk
If I knew it was gonna work, I'd buy it. But shipping and paying for a product that may not work is wayyyy too expensive.songbird wrote:Of course it's not bad. Re: Random Teen Talk
Experiencing a bad case of hair envy....wish my hair was growing longer...maybe I should invest in more natural products
Re: Random Teen Talk
I know that... there was a time I was so frustrated about my hair growth that I just bought all sort of dr miracle grow oil and doo gro or whatever they're all called..
But I don't think investing a lot of money in too many natural products is the solution.
You should look at your family line if the women mostly have long or short hair. I've learned that I my hair just grows really slow and there's nothing I can do to it, because it's just like that in my genetics.
The best we can do is to keep our hair healthy and be PATIENT

Re: Random Teen Talk
Both my mom and sis have long hair that grows fast (Mom likes to cut it off). I'm just trying to figure out if it's the way I style my hair that makes it seem to grow slower.
Re: Random Teen Talk
CiCi, do you wash you stretch your hair or do more wash and gos?
Thinking of going full brunette. I semi-dyed my hair jet black for the summer and loved it - but it kinda washed me out and my mom thinks I would make a nice brunette. I know it's best to stay natural but I have that dull hair colour, not black, not a true brunette. It's annoying and I'm bored, haha.

Good Luckk!!
Randomness- My Mom has finally agreed to me getting the big chop & now i'm so excited and nervous at the same time. I have about 1&1/2 inches of new growth. My Mom said I Have to wait until Christmas. I convinced her to let it be my gift lol. But I'm not sure if it will look right on me? I've never had short hair before, so I really can't picture it. Any thoughts?

Re: Random Teen Talk
CiCi, Oh I thought that maybe you did wash and gos which doesn't help with retention compared to stretching. Maybe it's just that you're paying too much attention to length and feeling that it doesn't grow? When I first went natural I did that, but now I got a hair cut and am not worried about hair growth.
At Beautifully, judging from your avatar, I think you'll look great with a twa. And is that a cookie monster wallet? Or is it just me.
And this December, I'm actually going to participate in an Igbo wedding. Not just visit and watch. Yay!
