TWA Growth Challenge Month 2

So I saw the video on 10 ways to style your TWA, and i got my eco gel and went to work. So far the only thing i did was slick the front back, and put on a head band. Nothing much, but it is something diffrent, I want to put a flower in there but i am scared. I love to see them on others but i am afraid to wear one myself. Hope everyones monday is going great.

Hey CrissyQ! Good job on trying something new! It really does help when you start to get bored with the wash n go. I'm scared of wearing flowers too. I never know if the placement is right, but they look so cute on others.

I tried something new this weekend. I did a w-n-g / braidout. I wanted to stretch my top so it would give me a different shape and it turned out pretty good. I'll try to post pics later.

I BC'd May 30th..is it too late to join this challenge?? I had been transitioning since June 09 & got annoyed with the two textures. Here is the first pic after my BC in which my Mother used shea butter & IC fantasia gel to coil it up:

A week later, I took the coils out. Here is the result, right before I prepared to poo it (Pantene R&N) & length check:

After I shampooed it, I conditioned it with Yes to Cucumbers. I then DC'd with Giovanni 50:50, EVOO, EVCO, Jojoba Oil, Moroccan Oil, & Honey for 2hrs under a plastic cap. My hair was super soft & manageable.

Thanks CrissyQ & Mstokes2008! Happy Belated Mstokes2008! Now I need to learn products & styles that will help to define my curls. I haven't Henna'd in 4mths, so I'm going to do that on Friday night..hopefully that boosts the curl process..

Well ladies since my hair has been twisted up for the past couple weeks I decided to go back to the washngo this week. I actually missed it! I used a new technique though. I tried shingling in some Smooth n Shine styling gel w/aloe vera. It's taking forever to dry and I hate the amount of gel I used. I'm washing it out! lol

Welcome MzLalaRochelle!! I love your makeup and eyebrows, way to make your TWA "pop". A few more Youtube videos and maybe I'll get there. LOL. Jome, your formal look was perfect! Nice, elegant accessories.

I know I'm late, but I think I've just perfected the wash n'go. I was so scared that my curls wouldn't do right, but my hair loves A.O. Honey Suckle Rose, so I started it as of Friday and my overnight baggy saves it for a day or so. With that I've been leaning away from KCCC. I thought I was going to be hooked on that stuff to define my curls, but I haven't looked back as of yet.

Also for Crissy and Latoya, since you love the flowers, you may love the flowers with the headbands. I have most of Forever 21's collection, they are super cute and have great prices.

Since the flowers are on the headband, you don't have to worry about placement, it will be perfect. Hope that helps!
