TWA Growth Challenge Month 2

Hey ladies. I guess I wont be doing a length check for some reason I don't feel like it. I did do a new protective style though. I have been trying so hard to learn how to two strand flat twist and I think I'm getting the hang of it. I just need more practice and I need to learn how to twist the back of my hair better. Go 'head on girl! Personally, I think you did a wonderful job on your flat twists [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Your hair looks so soft too! What do you use in it...I think you've said it already in the past.

Thanks Tasha! I tried so hard. You shoulda seen me in the bathroom tryin to concentrate LOL but ummm all i use is my shea butter mix

I think u did an excellent job!

Here is my update.

Stats - my hair is a little over 2 inches now. So I've had the average 1/2 an inch of growth. Sometimes I think I see a difference in the length and sometimes I don't.

I've switch to Aveda's Dry Remedy shampoo which I absolutely love. I'm still hanging on to my Aussie Moist conditioner though. I've also just began to experience the wonder that is coconut oil. I saw lots of youtube videos where people referenced it, but now I see what they are talking about.

So I still co-wash everyday and afterwards I apply coconut oil and Knot Today as a leave-in.

@curlynattie, yeah the baggie method def works to keep in moisture, i can usually stretch a WnG for a while doing that...if i remember to do it every night lol

@moriah- those twists look great!! I'm still struggling with keeping my flat twists to stay together all the way to the end

Thanks! Lynnie told me to wear the twists a day or two before doing a twist out and that should help the fluffy look.

Hey ladies. I mentioned that I did an Amla treatment but i never said what the effect were....My hair feels noticeably thicker after one use. I will be using that stuff more often. Maybe every three weeks or so.
