Re: Life of a Curly GIRL :)
Usually Jojoba Oil because that's supposed to be close to what our bodies naturally produce.
Re: Life of a Curly GIRL :)
okay, i have some of that, im gonna try it...i bought some tea tree oil so i was using that because it comes in the container with the tip on it to just go on my scalp, but i LOVE jojoba
you should try sweet almond oil too, i just started using it in my shea butter mix and i love it...

Re: Life of a Curly GIRL :)
I don't have any Sweet Almond Oil, next time I go to the health foods store I may check some out, and tea tree oil is too expensive for my budget right now ~lol~
Re: Life of a Curly GIRL :)
So i oiled my scalp this morning cuz Im working from home and im gonna let it saturate...im gonna put some perm rods on my twists and see if I can wear a cute curly fro tomorrow. The hubby and I are going to the univerSOUL circus so i would love to have free flowing curly hair tomorrow....since my hair challenge has ended i think i do want to continue wearing protective styles throughout the week though...i wanna start bunning or frenchbraiding it for work because i noticed that in the past i really was manipulating my hair toooo much!!

Enjoy the UniverSOUL Circus! I have always wanted to go but have not. They seem to have it in what I consider a not to kosher area .
Pinups pinups--you were working them and doing so quite well.

Re: Life of a Curly GIRL :)
thanks so much!! The weather is a little gloomy up here, but the hubby and I are still excited about going....i had lots of fun with the pin ups so now im gonna try and be more proactive in doing protective styles throughout the work week and wearing it out on the weekends...

Re: Life of a Curly GIRL :)
good morning everyone!!
so yesterday the hubby and i went to a bbq, i played rock back for THE first time and it was awesome, and we went to go see prince of persia (which i fell asleep on three times but the ending was cool LOL)...
when i woke up yesterday morning I looked at my twistout and realized that i think my second day hair was better than my first!!!
I absolutely loved the big hair....i remember several of my fellow youtubers saying how the hair its getting and better after day one (until it gets to the point where its time to wash or gets flat)...but my day two hair was cool, so im gonna wash and condition today and probably do some flat twists so i can wear a twistout this week, or i may just get lazy and wear a bun as a protective style...
love ya curlies!!!
enjoy your memorial day

Re: Life of a Curly GIRL :)
Hump DAY!!!! Woot Woot!!
Im wearing my hair in a "work place" bun, as I like to call it, this week
Usually when I bun it, its very convenient for me HOWEVER I miss touching my hair....that darn HIH syndrome, I KNOW I KNOW...
So Monday, I DC'ed with the olive oil replenishing pack (one of my favs) and used my giovanni direct leave in with my shea butter mix, used some softee gel on the edges and voila, this was the end result.
I have no clue what im going to do with my hair for this weekend, I may flat twist the front and do some two strand twists in the back on friday and see what kind of twist out I get for the weekend....I really need to practice on my wash n gos, I just hate using gel for wash n gos and I also dont like leaving conditioner in simply for the fact that it takes my hair a minute to dry, but we shall see...
have a great wednesday curlies!!

Re: Life of a Curly GIRL :)
LOL, when I read "hump day" I thought of Mr. Schuster talking to Sue on Glee last night about their "date" that Wednesday. . . I can't wait until I can just throw my hair into a bun! LOL, looking good. I went to Target yesterday, but the Giovanni stuff was just too expensive for what it was and I really wanted to try the Shea Moisture stuff. So next time I get a little money I'll have to try that leave in, but I did get some Garnier Fructise leave-in since I've heard it's good. I found that it took my WNG longer to dry with gel than it did when I just used the conditioner a little of that hair milk you sent me, and some EVOO. . .
Re: Life of a Curly GIRL :)
the Giovanni direct leave in at Vitamin Shoppe is $7.99 and it lasts a while. I have had mine for over 5 months and its not half way gone, u dont have to use alot....

Re: Life of a Curly GIRL :)
I think it was the same price at Target. The Shea Moisture things I got were 9.99 each and I wanted those more than the Giovanni (I needed a shampoo and really wanted to try the hair masque). You have to remember, I'm working on a SERIOUS budget. So 7.99 is a lot for me right now. . .
Re: Life of a Curly GIRL :)
okay i got ya!! there was some more stuff i meant to send you, but left it out of that bag....imma see if i can send them by fourth of july lol...

Re: Life of a Curly GIRL :)
Thanks I know you're really busy right now so I won't pester you about it. LOL, I'll let you know what I think about this Shea Moisture stuff, I'm REALLY excited about the shampoo, co-washing is nice, but I miss shampooing and I needed a good sulfate free shampoo. Best part? I can just go to Target and buy it, I won't have to order it online.
Re: Life of a Curly GIRL :)
yeah i much rather just go to a store and get my products....i think when i was transitioning i had a product junkie cuz i barely use these products anymore, so imma send them to you and see if you may like them or not
