I Have A QUESTION!
This winter I want to cornrow my hair. All winter long. The problem is I have to blow dry it so it can be cornrowed neatly. They last about two weeks before I have to take them out and wash my hair. Does anyone think a blow dry every two weeks is too much for my hair (TYPE 4) to handle?

Re: I Have A QUESTION!
Blowing every 2 weeks is probably a bit much for any hair type. Have you tried just letting your hair air dry? it takes time but at least you won't be adding on the damage from a blow dryer. Or maybe if you do blowdry you can do it on the cool setting so it's not as damaging and not drying your hair totally with the blow dryer. may be like 50/50 blowdry/air dry

Re: I Have A QUESTION!
What if you do them on wet hair. I get really neat smooth cornrows when my hair is wet.
Or
You could band and stretch your hair, that way you get the straightness without the heat

I'm all for airdrying. If you have the time, you can band it with little scrunchies from the root to tip. You can search for others on YT who do it to stretch their hair.

I have to agree with tia! I liked my cornrows better on wet hair! Not as much frizz!
Re: I Have A QUESTION!
yeah, airdry is better. maybe you can do them with aloe gel to help with the frizzes
