Addicted. Bought some because my hair was in need of moisture and I couldn't ask for a better product.

So I am seriously thinking of trying this product. I am doing CG method, but I am trying not to be too rigid and miss a good product. Does anyone else have any reviews of the product. It's only $5, but ingredients are more chemical based. Is it worth it?

I brought some and applied it for my wash and go. I like the moisture it gave my hair. I plan to try it with some twist to see how it works.

Which Cantu Shea Butter product are you guys referring to? The Leave In or the Dressing Pomade?

Hmm...I used the Cantu leave in...hated it. It left me hair feeling greasy and wax like. Still have it in my bathroom closet collecting dust...

I am currently still working with this product and dont want to say yay or nay until a few more tries and experimenting with what my hair looks like..I will update, but it does make my hair super soft and manageable and also smells great to me anyway..

i love the smell of cantu and it last me a long time because i have had it since july. i like it as a leave in but the trick for me is that a little goes a long way. and i seal it with a little bit of olive oil. works like a charm.

So I went and got the tub of Cantu to make sure I get the name correct its: Cantu Shea Butter leave in conditioning repair cream.

Its thick in its consistency and smells like imitation coconut. Like I said before it left my hair feeling waxy, the way it coated my hair I just didn't like. I didn't like the it dried either. The producct for my hair didn't nothing to improve it.

I use and would recommend Mimosa Hair Honey by Carols Daughter with a little bit of water.I use as an everday mositurizer if I feel I need it. I also use it for twists on damp hair and if I want I puff I use the hair honey and water method to smooth down the front of my hair.

Another option for me is I would put a bit of Shea Butter (which I get from butter-n-bars via ebay for as long as I've been natural) in the palm of my hands and add a few drops on wild growth oil.

I actually used it with the IC Fantasia Gel and when I brushed it, lots of white flakes! Won't use that combo again.

I stopped using that after I started looking at ingredients. It also doesn't fit into the CG method. It was actually on of the products that was drying out my hair.

Blondie,

That is what I have been thinking. I have been using the CG method for 6 months now and my hair is super soft and manageable. I just don't know if need to take the chance.

It's chock full of silicones...which is the last thing you need. My advice is to leave it alone.
