Why do prenatals make your hair grow?
If you want to increase growth faster, then u want FOLIC ACID
Folic Acid
Being a water-soluble vitamin, folic acid or vitamin B6, is very beneficial for the health of the hair. Folic acid helps in the the formation of the red blood cells and is also very important for maintaining the health of the central nervous system. Folic acid also helps in replacing the old cells of the body with new cells. It is these properties of the Folic acid, which makes it important for the growth and development of the various cells, organs, tissues and structures in the body, including the hair.
Prenatal pills carry high amounts of folic acid, so thats why pregnant women appear to have longer hair. You need new cells in order to grow hair and thats exactly what folic acid does.

Folic Acid or Folate is enriched in pretty much everything we eat now. Since it is water soluble, you will pee out what you do not need! If you eat lots of dark green leafies like raw kale or spinich (green smoothies) then you are good to go!

Prenatal vitamins are mostly B vitamins, including folic acid. Most multivitamins contain at least 400 mcg, so that's a good place to start. All B vitamins are water soluble, so if you want to take a prenatal vitamin in addition to your multi go ahead! The biotin and niacin in the prenatal help with hair growth too.
