Well some say that nothing really "makes" hair grow but the stuff in this oil can "stimulate" the scalp and hair follicles so that the follicles "wake up" and grow longer.

okay.. I bought some WGO on Friday.... Tried to use it and that will be a big fat No-ski's for me and my head;-( The scent is too much for me to use. I could maybe get used to it, but I just don't want to. Since it contains olive oil, jojoba and coconut oils as top ingredients, I may as well mix up my own and it will smell a whole lot better! It has iron too, which I think is contributing the not so pleasant smell. I'm just guessing here. Anyway, no loss at all since Sally's has a good return policy Smile

Oh well that's good that you can return it. I remember they told me that too about the heat bonnet attachment I bought. I only used it once so far and it was decent so I'll keep it. But Iwish I could smell that WGHO before I buy it so I can see what you all are talking about. everyone says it's smells bad but it works. I also saw where some people have mixed that with some better smelling essential oils and it made it better.

I agree with misskris; Sexi*Junior is the first male that I have seen on this site!
WELCOME!!
RE: wgho I bought some this week also; dont love the smell either but I am using it with the castor oil expecting great things! The smell fades after a few hours, (or I am getting used to it). I'll check with the family and see if they can smell it. You know kids will be honest! - LOL

That reminds me of when my mom used to ask me to check if I can smell her hair. She would do that to determine if it needed to be washed!!!! LOL HAhahaha, that's funny!!! lol!

Post by Leelo 27th December 2010, 3:58 am

I'm going to try this oil. I want all over growth...lol!!!!

I currently have a stress balled spot on the top of my head and I use Organic Root Stimulator (serum) and it works WONDERS on my hair. I had been wearing micros and sewn in weave for the past year and my edges got weak and broken, so I put the root stimulator on my edges and they are growing back as well. A few years ago, I had HORRIBLE breakage in the back of my hair - to the point where I called it my "shaved part". I started using the Organics Root Stimulator and my hair grew back nicely.

I will try this oil....I don't like stinky stuff...but I'll see what happens.

Post by mitchellzee 31st December 2010, 12:24 am

I can finally say that I went through a whole bottle of this stuff and I'm probably going to try the Light Oil next time. I added Orange essential oil and Sandalwood fragrance to make the smell less offensive. I learned that it is just too heavy to apply to the scalp straight from the bottle (even with a small nozzle). I liked it best when I just put some on my fingertips first and then rubbed on my scalp. You still get a tingle when applying it this way. I do feel like my hair thickened up but I'm not sure if my hair grew faster. I did notice my edges were thicker though so I definitely think the oil had something to do with that. I've tried castor oil with rosemary before and this is the first time my edges have come in like this. It also seemed to soften my hair at the roots so that's a plus. It does lead to itchy scalp so I only used it 2x in the same week. HTH Smile Happy New Year!

i just signed up not even an hour ago. Embarassed so hi!
i actually brought a bottle of the whgo yesterday from sally's for 8.49, to be exact, and i gotta tell ya that smell is just like someone said, A WHOLE LOTTA SPICES AND SEASONINGS MIXED THAT AIN'T SUPPOSED TO MIX!!! Shocked
i used it after doing a mayo conditioning, towel dried, and put it on.
once i woke up this morning , i immediately smelled my pillowcase, since i always forget to where a scarf (which i know is bad), and it had a faint smell but my man didn't really seem to mind as he snugged more than usual. i know when i was using dr. miracles, he was fussing as soon as i sprayed it so i guess thas a step up.
i'm looking for big growth this year so fingers crossed!!!!

i just went to the store to get some strawberry oil, mane n tail conditioner, and a satin scarf in purple, favorite color cheers .

the strawberry oil took away most of the smell from the oil, i added a tad to my hair n it took over the smell, and i added some of the oil to the mane n tail conditioner. smelling good so i'm happy.

my hair is touching my shoulders already but its very kinky so, of course it shrinks. looking forward to lengthy results

to gotcurls:
just read ur post today n yeah i didnt actually count out 20 drops.... i put a dime size in my palms n massage it into 1/4 of my hair n so on til its in my entire head, put another dime size amount in my hand and massage my whole head......then of course i put some strawberry oil in my head too bc the whgo smell alone can be BRUTAL affraid

i have actually seen a lil bit of a change in my hair texture since a week ago....alot more body, my hair's not so kinky, and it doesnt shrink as much as it used to.... Very Happy

i actually just went on and added in the dr. miracles with the whgo bc i had so much left....new concoction, new smell....well at least i feel the tingle... Embarassed

I just bought this product yesterday and applied today. Really the smell is'nt THAT bad. What would you rather have, the foo foo stuff that smells good and doesnt work or something that smells like spices and is actually good for your hair? As I always tell a friend "Take one for the team!" lol. Of course I say this when it will benefits everyone and she just doesnt want to do it

I Have been using this for about 2 weeks and I don't mind the smell at all. It does leave my hair soft but not for long. Should I aPply more? My hair is still in it's tea phase so idk if applying it all over is different from parting the hair. I sleep with a shower cap underneath my boner when using this oil and it does retain moisture but I can't be baggin it ok day lol
