Hey Missy...Go head with all those bright red strands... This was with the Karishma henna?

Also, congrats on your cigarette ticker...let's have a celebration when you get to one month...Change it to "20 days without a cancer stick"....might just be some motivation looking at those words! You can do it! cheers

@Morena...GIRL!!!! What hair products were you gonna get from Macy's????? Shocked

I took a target run today...After yesterday's story about taking my BFF's money, I went to invest it in a worthy cause. I got some Curls Creamy Curl Cleanser and Coconut Curlada Conditioner! I was trying to convince my mom to add to the cause and buy me some Kinky Curly Knot Today, but she was not budging....DANG ON IT!!!!!

I'm about to take out my hair now for a pre-poo, followed by a henna treatment tomorrow morning, a fabulous DC, and then a long styling session. I know it will be long, because I will be attempting to use 2 mirrors and get to parting and flat-twisting my whole head. I'll post pics.......IF ITS CUTE!!! LOL

Ladies, I had to come back and do a quick mini product review.

Curls Creamy Curl Cleanser: It seemed like I had to use alot to clean my hair. It did not lather up alot, and it did not rinse away squeaky clean. BUT, that is probably because it is a moisturizing shampoo designed to gently cleanse. Overall, I'd say it was good. It was not stripped at the end. I will have to get used to my hair not feeling stripped to the core following a wash!

Coconut Curlada Conditioner: I LOVE THIS.....LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!!! A little goes a long way. It has good slip and made detangling EASY. I usually have to add a cheapie conditioner to the rinse out conditioners to give it extra slip, but this time, I only used the Curls and it was FABULOUS. When I rinsed it out, my hair felt so soft while it was wet, which never happens. I wish they made a DC!

It must just be some of them. I was in ours last week, and the kid and I walked the beauty aisles - we saw some of the stuff we use (Eco Styler, Suave Shampoo, various things with shea butter), but nothing specifically for natural hair (like Curls).

Congrats on just buying hair combs.

Hey my name is Terri and I'm a product junkie. I have so much junk in my closest that I hid it in boxes so that my hubby won't see it and pick. I think I've slowed down alot. I have the Kinky Curly line; I have Komaza samples out to whazoo; I also have black soap that I've never used; I have aubrey organics HSR shampoo and condish; CURLS shampoo; Deep Condish, and leave in- think I used that line once; I have tons of oils they've probabaly need to throw them away. I have the stuff to make kimmaytube's leave in the aloe vera juice in my fridge. Oh yeah glycerin too. I know this isn't a hair product but I did just buy a mannequin head so I can learn how to braid. That's hidden from the hubby too. I'm going to challenge myself to use what I got we shall see how that goes

I'm itching to buy something new.

Not sure why.

I have a multitude of products that work, so there isn't really a need for anything else right now.

So . . . my shea butter came today.

Now to figure out what to do with it.

I want something for my hair and something for my skin.

And something for my kid's face.

I need to go check out that homemade recipe website.

I just use it for my hair, and every now and again I will put it on my face. What else do you do with it?

I use it for everything...

hair: pre-poo, add to conditioner to make a DC, sealer

skin: add to bathwater, use to seal in moisture after bath and lotion...I rubbed it on once as a "sun tan lotion" (I temporarily forgot I was black...I started baking...LOL. I knew I needed me some sunscreen and a hat!). I use it as a cuticle moisturizer.

cooking: Add it to stir fry and other foods.

It's one of the few oils that can penetrate hair/skin. EVOO is the other one. Shea Butter serves mostly as a sealant. It's used in Africa as a "water proofer"
