Hey ladies!!

Quick update - My hair is on the grow. I've been trimming cuz I've been noticing split ends. Haven't done much with protective styling since the end of July. I've been trying out Elasto QP's Feels like Silk products, Bee Mine and Sweet Nature by Eddie.

Personal - the last couple of weeks my aunt has shown remarkable improvement in her spirit and will to work to recover from the stroke. Then Wednesday Aug 11th her youngest son died. So I am currently in town for the funeral and be with the family. It's been tough. He was my baby. He was younger than my baby brother and its sad to his daughter without her dad. I'm gonna miss our talks and so much more. He was my biggest fan (well besides my dad). Me, my sis and my cuz (his sister) were making plans to go visit him. I guess it wasn't meant to be.

My parent are ok. I'm trying to be supportive and help them through all this. I am also stll trying to have an outlet and a lil social life to keep my sane. August 8th was my first sunday back in morning service because I have been helping my dad drive to see aunty on the weekends.

I have joined Weight watchers. I have lost 8lbs. hopefully I can maintain that loss while with the fam and dealing with grief. i admit that I'm an emotional eater so as I work on dealing with my grief through other avenues I don't want to railroad my healthy life changes.

I'm going to rest now and doctor my voice I am fighting a cold or something and I am on program to sing in the services.

I know you all will even without me asking and yet I am gonna ask that you all keep me and my family in your prayers.

Congratulations on being 8lbs down though, thats GREAT!!! I lost 40lbs on Weight Watchers and my sis lost 90lbs......I've since gained all mine back though .......but its definitely a great program and it works. YOU CAN DO IT!!!

My hair is...um yeah...nothing spectacular. Twist outs, braid outs, bantu knot out (fail), ponytails with flat twists and pin-up styles.

2 year nappiversary is coming up. I posted a new vid just to say hey and what not.

8lbs...that's great!! I'm an emotional shopper so I know how you feel. Now when I get stress I log on Netflix and watch a move. I'm looking at Girlfriends Season 1..(get those DVD's through the mail) it seems like it's helping. I haven't ordered anything online...but now don't let me catch a conditioner on sale. Ooops..I got off track..sorry!!! Like Dva said keep snacks around that helps..like grapes, crackers, and 100 calories snacks should do it.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!!! I am still on this journey and going strong. God is so good to me. Today I feel like singing. I'm still working toward my weight loss goal. Hopefully I will reach my first goal before my birthday.

Friday I decided to blow out my hair and flat iron to trim.
I clarified with Giovanni 50:50
Conditioned with Aussie Moist 3 minute Miracle for moisture
Leave in - Giovanni Protien leave in and Aussie moist hair Insurance
Heat Protectant - Silk elements Olive oil heat protectant


The length of the back after blowdrying.



After cutting 1 -1 1/2 inch off the back and about 1/2 inch to an inch every where else.







I washed my hair on Sunday and i'm wearing a shrunken fro right now (sorry no pic yet). Plan on twisting tonight.

Hey Shee! You have quite a bit of length there. I know I'm due for a trim, but like IB I'm kinda scared to blow it out. I hope all is well with you. Have a great week!

Hey ladies!! I'm still here...well occasionally. After my trim i did a failed BKO on straight hair. I've had great twist outs





I also tried a new style. It took me 30-45 min to do 10 measly french braids.



The rest is twisted in small twists.

I used Kimmaytube leave in (modified) with shea amla butter (afroveda) and Organic Root Stimulator Lock and Twist Gel.
