Your hair looks great straight. I love it.
Great gift the IPod Touch - my Boss gave me one for Xmas 2008. I rarely use it.

Re: jamaicacurl
Hey ladies! I've been MIA for a few days due to work and life obligations. Plus my hubby had to use my laptop all week for a class he was taking. I also had to take a break from crocheting (which calms me) so I'll be back on that tonight or tomorrow (today is going to be a long day) so I can complete orders
I washed my hair on Tuesday so bye bye straight:
Now I'm back to curly!
I've been wearing it like this for the most part lately. The straight hair was nice for a short time but now I find curly is easier because I can just let it do what it do and imperfections can be masked. When it's straight I obssess over hairs that don't want to cooperate lol!

Hey JC! You're a doll whether straight or curly. I remember the one time I straightened my hair at the end of last year and I know exactly what you mean about obsessing over unruly hairs lol.

Thanks Cutephantasm! I attribute it to wearing it curly more and using better products. I'm so glad it looked good!
Re: jamaicacurl
Alright ladies, I think I'm at a point where things aren't going to be as busy as it has been since the beginning of this month so I can now bring my attention back to this site more and my hair.
I've been wearing my hair pulled back in the front for the last few days because it has been easier. I have not been plopping lately (thanks Chrs). Although I used to think that my hair loved plopping, not all of my hairs were plop friendly. So now what has been working is:
same wash and condition routine
apply leave in
scrunch out excess water with flour sack towel
apply Elasta gel to ends
let air dry
I feel like my hair actually dries faster this way and I'm using less product but my curls/waves are still defined and frizz has not been an issue. My scalp continues to be dry in the front so I really need to get back to oiling it every or every other night. I also need to do a protein treatment (still) for strength and to get some of that oomph back in my curls. I'm really seeing how my new growth is much curlier than my ends so I'm anxiously waiting for it to grow more so I can trim more of the looser curls off the ends.

Your hair's shine comes through when straight and curly. I adore both your straight and curly hair.
Your curls look plump and tighter in the February 20 picture. I am glad your routine is working for you !

Thanks Chrs!
Today I applied some Evoo on my scalp and all over my hair and did an oil rinse. I used my new drying and styling technique. I didn't take any pics but my hair definitely has more shine today and the curls were more defined.

awww pretty! (as usual! lol)
I'm so used to seeing pics of your hair but now when you look into the camera you look so familiar to me! Maybe you just look like someone from home but it's funny that I could probably pick your hair (and most of our other curlies) out of a crowd if your back was to me but if you were facing me I'd have to be like "wait, turn around so I can see if this is jcurl's hair" lol

lol! Where's home? I get that a lot actually. I must have a very familiar face. Most times when I'm out I hear whispers "she looks kind of like so and so".

Hi, JC
Your new hair technique is working really good. As for the Elasta QP - you only use it on your ends? So you use no gel type product on the length of your hair while it's drying?

Correct. I only put in some conditioner as a leave in and after getting out some of the excess moisture with the flour sack, I scrunch in the gel to the ends and a little above. Sometimes I'll use whatever is left in my hands and lightly smooth it over the top of my hair. I'm avoiding raking the gel all in my hair because I want to see if it makes a difference with the flaking in my scalp. Not sure if product is contributing to it.

Nothing really new and exciting to report in hair world...same methond for Wng's is what I've been using with continued success. Today it's up in a bun because I didn't have the energy to wash it this morning.
Benadryl has been knocking me out the last 2 nights due to an unknown allergy to something I ate or drank. I'm thinking it's a flavoured tea that I drank. Made me break out in hives for the last 2 days! Not a good look!
Yesterday was a rough day as a scary thing happened to us that could have been potentially tragic. But I thank God that He was with us and nobody got hurt. I'll give details later.
Other than that....oh, I saw this little girl today with a pretty twist out and I just had to compliment her! It did really look great but being that you don't see many little girls without perms I made it a point to let her know that her hair is beautiful just in case she ever has a doubt when she compares hers to other girls' hair.
