@TIA AND DAJEWEL, I need to know about these oils. When you rinse them out with cold water as the final rinse and you begin to style your hair, does oil continue to run down your neck?? What is up with that??

@Intelligentbeauty: Oil used to run down my neck & face before I learned now to pile it on. I was very heavy handed with product. Sometimes I have catch myself, I think it comes from my "grease" days.
I will check out Rustic Beauty

OK, yes I am heavy handed. So that is the problem? I used 1 cup total of oil? How much do you usually use for oil rinses?
Tell me what you think about her style? Her hair is just FABULOUS!!!

I did measure my oil, I just squirted it from the bottle into my hand. I don't think I used quite cup. I would think that the conditioner and rinse would get out the excess.
I love how RusticBeauty keeps everything simple. I have accepted the fact that I am hair lazy so I fall in love with any simple hair regimen.

I DID IT!!!
I styled my hubby's locs and he liked them. I have been trying to learn new style for him to wear and I am so happy that I finally found one I can do!
Re: ♥ tiashauntee ♥
How long did it take to style them?

Re: ♥ tiashauntee ♥
You did an awesome job! I have watched a few YT videos of ladies doing loc styles. They inspired some of my twist styles. If you haven't you should check them out.

Re: ♥ tiashauntee ♥
I'm looking forward to Christmas -not for gifts, but because it means I get to try a new fancy hair do
Last night I co-washed and deep conditioned my hair. It felt great, I needed that bad. Then I twisted my hair up so that I can rock a Frohawk this weekend. This week is casual week at work and I planned to wear hats all week but after pinning up my twists to go to bed I loved the look and decided to go hatless today. I will post pics tonight.
Because of you ladies giving great reviews I had to try out Giovanni, so this weekend I also co-washed twice with Giovanni Triple Tea Treat and both times I was in love with the result. So much slip and my hair was extremely soft when it dried. I think I may have found my first "wow" product. If this continues it might just replace Aussie Moist on my favorites list.

AfrikanLatina wrote:Tia how long has your hubby been growing his locs? Mine is only 5 months in.
Well this is his third batch....so this one for about 3-4 years. I do the latchhook method to re-tighten his and I think that has added a lot more length compared to re-twisting. And....it lasts so much longer which is a plus for me
