Re: ♥ tiashauntee ♥
@everyone, Thank You!! I am so ready to try the henna. I have never done henna before so this is going to be a new experience for me.
Happy Monday!
This weekend was entirely too busy for my liking but fortunately I still found time to refresh my twists and that is all the matter right? LOL
I refreshed my twist using my homemade holding mix: http://tiashauntee.blogspot.com/2009/11/mixtress-works-holding-cream.html
Then on Sunday I styled my twists in an updo inspired by a vid I saw on YouTube:
My rendition:
Then last night I decided to try and pincurl my twists :
All this is a new step for me because I can be lazy with my hair. Usually when I do twists, that's it. I never try to do anything more with them. But because I am trying to keep my hair up off my clothes, I had to do something. I think this will make me keep my twists in longer and do more with them.

Loving the twists. Isn't it great when you can find other ways to rock them, keep experimenting.
Re: ♥ tiashauntee ♥
Will you do a twist out after a few days or are you going to cowash and re-twist??? I'm going to try your mix when I attempt twists

I'm not sure. I found out that we have a wedding to go to and that kinda through a monkey wrench in my plans. I think a twistout would be the easiest thing to do since we have to travel.
Re: ♥ tiashauntee ♥

Re: ♥ tiashauntee ♥
I just left to go to lunch which consisted of me shopping (trip successful).
While I was in the store the cashier asked me a ton of questions about my hair and even wrote down the CN.com website to pass to her daughter. In addition to that, 3 different guys tried to get at me what I was shopping. I was even holding a man's tie in my hand!! My outfit today is very plain, no makeup....so it must be the hair.
Events like this motivate me to put more effort into my styles whenever I can.
Natural girls are fly!!!!!

LOL for real! I always go shopping on lunch and I'm like, do all y'all work nights or something? Why are there so many work-aged people in the Target, it's 11:23 AM!
I know lots of people work different schedules but that is just my first thought when I see grown people just a-hangin out in the early afternoon!

I did the same thing for months. When I finally found one cheap enough I decided to give it a go. Now I just have to figure out a way to stop it from snagging my hair.
Re: ♥ tiashauntee ♥
I am tired, stressed, and don't have enough time to do everything that I need to do. I will be so glad when I finish school.
And even with all that, I still found time to pin curl my twists
It's casual day at work and I started to make it a hat day because the weather folks are calling for rain. However, I have been really feeling my twists so I didn't want to hide them. I pulled them up in a high pony today.
Taking pics with the BB isn't that great, but it gets the job done.

That clip and the twists are super cute. Glad you didn't throw a hat on the twists. I like!

ChrsLvsBks wrote:Question, how do you control frizz at your edges?
My edges are strange...they are not like the rest of my hair and for the most part they naturally lay down. When they do decide to get unruly I like to use some water & Shea butter to hold them down. If I need extra hold I use IC Fantasia gel, then I tie them down while I am driving to where ever I am going. And of course a hair brush. Doesn't take much effort at all.
For the past few days I have been using "Aloe Gro" all over and on my edges at night. I was waiting to mention after I got a good feel and opinion of the mix. But it's been really refreshing and I have grown to love it already.
Check it out here: Aloe Gro Treatment
