Braids! Braids! Braids!
I did my daughter's hair yesterday (Mother's Day; because a mother's job is never done) and it took me 2 hours exactly (potty breaks, snack breaks, dvd change [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ). I think I did an alright job but sometimes I run out of creativity so maybe this new topic can open up some new ideas to other curly moms to try on their daughters. I have two daughters so I need a change of braiding styles if possible [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]!

OMG! I love your blog! Thanks for sharing! I've been wanting some beads for my daughter's hair; what have I been waiting for? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I've also read the article in your blog about the DT! I think I'll start doing that for her as well! Gee, I'm such a noob!

Thanks! That DT was the bizness. Her hair was super soft and very easy to detangle afterwards. Don't worry about being a noob, we've all been there sista. I still feel like a newbie sometimes..LOL. Happy to help!

Here is Mya with her micro braids.
To curl the ends, I used the blue perm rods

You ladies are good. I love all these styles. Very cute and they just reinforce the fact that our babies don't need relaxers! I really need to learn to cornrow but my son won't sit still long enough to let me practice

You mommies are doing a beautiful job with your daughter's hair. I'm expecting my 1st in Jan and if I have a girl, I'll be on this board looking for pointers. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
AfrikanLatina- Your little man is sooo cute! Many of my friends braid their LO's hair while they're asleep. Maybe this is something you can try if you haven't already.

@ Morshaye, your DD hair is too cute. I'm gonna have to style jack you for it and add my twist on it. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks sis. Unfortunately he doesn't fall asleep anywhere except his crib. If he's allowed to stay downstairs past his bedtime he will be up tearing things up until we take him upstairs.

here are a few of my daughters styles. we don't braid often because it is so time consuming and she gets very weary. she's only 2 1/2.
