Braids...

Question: How long does my hair have to be to get extensions? ... I'm thinking micros or just regular box braids. I'm getting tired of my short hair and I hate wigs!

If you find a good braider, they can grip it any length.

I would wait until its at least 1-2 inches long (when stretched) You don't want too much tension when putting in braids or else your hair will break. And if the stylist has to grip it too hard, you will have a ton of tension

ok. Thanks! That's why I'm trying to wait a little longer! Maybe I'll try and hold out till March instead.

I agree with cutephantasm.....I waited until my hair was about 3 1/2 inches to prevent breakage.
