Re: Life of a Curly GIRL :)
The puff came out cute! I'm still leery about leaving in regular conditioner unless the bottle says you can use it as a leave in. I wonder if one could get the same results using an actual leave-in since I do love my Garnier Fructis now. . .
Re: Life of a Curly GIRL :)
i tried using my giovanni leave in and i didnt get the same results....but i do understand you being leery about it....ive been using conditioner since I was transitioning and it hasnt had a negative effect on my hair to my knowledge, maybe it depends on products...

I've been trying to stop doing this as well. I read that it can eventually cause breakage and dryness. I don't know how true that is but I'm going to experiment with it and see what results I get.
@BrownSkinDiva... You puff looks good! Cant wait until my hair is long enough to pull into a high puff!

Hey BSD
Just wanted to stop by and see what's going on with you. How is your exercising coming along. I think I'm going to take Sat and Sun off...from the gym. I need time to run errands and stuff like that.
Cute puff!!!
So are you going to wear your Fro Sunday? If so, don't forget to take pictures...
Have a safe and wonderful holiday!!

Hey Brownskindiva!
I'm feeling big hair, too...I just don't want it to be big & DRY...I'm working on that one!
As for a creamy-like leave-in, try Alba (botanicals) Leave-in Conditioner. It has decent ingredients...it's about $10 and sold at CVS (or probably other drug stores).

Personal News
All is well with me, the hubby and I are on workout overload LOL. Ive started a consistent workout and eating regimen. Ive lost 3 lbs thus far so im super excited!! Im trying to run a ten minute mile, and thats been kicking my butt to say the least. Ive also increased my water intake to 2 liters a day and im taking a GNC meal replacement shake for breakfast, Ive gotten great results so far so its all good!
Hair News
Lola is doing very well. I just tried and Lola loves it!!
I detangled with my aussie moist and then used the coconut milk pack and let it sit for about 3 hours. I rinsed it out with cold-luke warm water and put my leave in and shea butter mix and put about 8 plats in my head....im wearing my tam to work today but i will take the plats out today so i can wear my braid out for the rest of the week
Upcoming News
Im trying to find a long maxi dress and a dress to wear to a wedding for next weekend because im attending a wedding. I want to find a good sale so Im gonna go looking around this weekend.
Have a great day lovelies!!

Hey Naturalistas!!
Hey Ladies!!!
Hope all is well with everyone!!! Nothing new has really been going on with Lola, I've been doing more protective styles and wearing her out on the weekends...Im trying to stick back to bunning during the work week.
This past weekend I went to a lovely wedding in ATL and I pinned her up because I had this 5 day old twistout that I was trying to make the most out of LOL, heres a pic:
So how are yall doing? I need to catch up with my curl street neighbors....I miss you ladies!
Until Next Time,

OMG
Oh Em Gee, I cannot BELIEVE my one year naturalversary is coming up like next week or so. It seems like just the other day I was shedding a few tears in the chair while getting the rest of my relaxer cut off. It was really a life changing moment for me, not that Im trying to get too deep but I never realized how much folks acceptance of me actually meant. I was so used to folks complimenting my fresh wrap or how straight my hair was, so while I transitioned I stopped getting those compliments, its kind of like I sought them for validation. My process of going natural allowed me to do something for ME, not for anyone else other than myself. I had a good support system, but there were several folks who were not in agreement with my decision as well.
Im so glad I decided to go natural, for the wonderful naturalista community, learning more about myself, and most importantly loving my hair in its natural state and taking better care of myself.
