I commented to a friend: I had a bad hair day today. He said, "I don't see it that way!" Woot, woot! And he's cute, too! hahahahahaha

Hey Ladies!

Y'all are too funny!

But, I feel ya...my cabinet is filling up pretty quickly. I find myself buying stuff to have "just in case". LOL

Today is my first day back to work since Feb. 24th. Needless to say, I WANT TO GO H-O-M-E! The bright side: It's Friday and I have the weekend before tackling a full week! Praise HIM.

And I am working the twist out today! BTW, this is my first time fully natural at the work place...I'd done braid-outs before I seriously considered going natural--I wanted BIG hair. Who knew I had it all along?

I've gotten quite a few compliments! And I guess natural hair does make you look younger...I've heard that one, too. A co-worker I've know over 10 years, walked right pass me. When he saw me later, he laughed because he said he thought I was one of the college interns!

Can't beat that with a bat!

Q: Has anyone ever had a friend get mad because they didn't know how to glue in a weave? (You can see, I'm at work...trying to speed time along..hahaha)

OK...I'm with my good friend at her mom's house...just chilin. Her niece comes through and you can tell she is in a rush. The only reason she's there is to do something for her grandmother (my friend's mom). As the niece is leaving...

Friend: Hey, will you glue in my track...it fell out.
Niece: I don't have time...I have to go.
Friend: Come on, do it for me.
Niece: Why don't you get Renon (me) to do it?
Friend: (side eye to me) She doesn't know how to do it.
Niece: (super side eye to me) How come you don't know how to glue in a track?
Me: Bewildered look...I've never had to (I don't want to state the obvious at this time, right?)
Niece: Oh, so since you got long hair, you don't think you need to glue in hair? (stank attitude here)
Friend: I know, she doesn't need to glue in hair.
Niece: She smiles and tells her aunt she can't do it...you should have friends who can glue tracks...AND SHE LEAVES!
Friend: Hmmm...(teeth suck)...I know! How come you can't glue in a track?

Now, all I can say is I told my friend two words that rhyme with DUCK CLUE! LOL And walked out "justa swinging my hair" (Snoop Dogg)...hahahahaha

But, really, this episode stayed with me (and it was way before my curly-dreams took shape) was because of the anger behind the situation. My friend's niece (we've never been fans of the other, but no true dislike...so I thought) really was mad because I never had a weave and didn't know how to glue it in! Can you imagine? She was really mad. Mind you, she never had long hair, but was that really my fault! Then my friend turned on my in the midst of the argument, like she was EMBARRASSED because I didn't know how to glue in tracks and that made her mad! CAN YOU IMAGING THAT? SMH

LOL. People are off the hook! You are silly Renon, I told my friend something that rhymes with duck clue! Ha!

LOL dang that is jacked up if know how to glue in a track is a requirement to be a GOOD friend. We all have our strengths and weaknesses, was you friend seriously mad?

Monday's Bad hair day...and Today's TwistOut for work!

Last night I twisted my hair using Eco styler, castor oil/olive mix on my ends and spritzing with the usual (olive/amla/coconut oils/water/and I added a lil castor oil this time). It was very defined and soft. I also seriously trimmed my ends...my ends had an AFRO! WTF? But, it's a lot better today!

5/10 Bad Hair Day...it did what it wanted to do...which was sit there absorbing everything applied and nothing else!



Today's TwistOut...after a good ends trimming...YAY! I did a twist out, but left some twisted (I was in a rush)...and some twisted back on their own!



This is my "First-Day-Back-To-Work-at-the-Roach-Coach" look...LMAO
