Re: Twist Challenge!!!!
Here is a good way to revamp tired looking twist (twist 1+ week old that starting to look extra frizzy, but you aren't ready to wear a twistout).
Sprintz hair w/ water.
Apply moisturizing cream (I use shea butter mix)
Section off twist into about 4 sections and cornrow each section.
Cover and wear overnight.
In the morning, unbraid cornrows.
Here will have a nice wavy look as will be less frizzy.

Re: Twist Challenge!!!!
Hey Ladies! I know that I am very late for this challenge, but I didn't want to join until I BC'd. I BC'd last Saturday btw! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Initially I was a little leery about doing it b/c I didn't think that I would be comfortable wearing twist away from the house, but I tried it last night and VOILA!

I'm pretty proud of myself seeing that it was first time. It took me a while to finish, but hopefully that will improve as I continue to practice. Thanks for the motivation Lynnieluve!
Though this challenge will be ending soon I will continue until June 25. I'll just incorparte it with the BAA challenge that I am doing also.

Re: Twist Challenge!!!!
Thanks Lynnieluve! I wasn't supposed to do this until Sunday night after I washed and DC'd. But at 11:00 last night I got the bright idea to do a few twist to try it out and "see" how it would look. Ha! Once it was all said and done it was 3:00 a.m.! And I had to be to work at 8:30 a.m. CRAZINESS!!!

Re: Twist Challenge!!!!
Hey ladies!
My apologizes for my extended absence. Fortunately I fared well in the recent Nashville floods, but that has also meant longer hours in the newsroom and less times to surf hair blogs. Through it all, I've still been faithful with my twists. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Last week I did 70ish teeny tiny twist. Never. Again. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Took wayyyy too long: about two hours to twist up and 30 minutes to untwist; plus some of the twists were so small & tight that they knotted. Here are pictures from that twist out that I styled into some variation of a curly fro hawk (curly because I set the twists on regular rollers the night before unraveling them).
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Then last night my line sister, who is newly natural, volunteered to twist my hair since I've been super stressed. Because of heat damage from my flat iron days, the last two inches of my hair stay straight. I had been wearing my twists always pinned up into a bun or French roll to hide that heat damage (that I am too stubborn to cut). But she set those ends on straws, like the kind from fast food restaurants. And this morning, when I took out the straws, all of my ends were perfectly curly! Have a great weekend!
