I started last week right before I went to the Bay Area natural hair meet-up which was awesome. I did my hair in big twists for a couple of days, and then separated them into smaller twists. I now have a head full of medium twists, my first ever! I've only been completely natural for two months and I love them Smile
They're so much easier to do than the braids i've been doing, they put less pressure on my scalp, and I like the way they look. I'll switch my avatar to twists!

Girl your hair is so cute and healthy. I can not wait till I get that length to do that.

As for the challenge I am still kinky twisted up. And going to stay with it and keep i moist. Tonight I am going to (if I am not tired) use some castor oil and attack each twist so that Diva can get some deep oil care. I don't want her coming out looking all dry.

THANKS KT! U will get here ...And then some! I love kinky twists, but they are so heavy on my head...I feel like they weigh more than me hehehe

This morning I pinned my four-day-old twists into a French roll. In the front are nine flat twists. The rest of my hair is in regular twists. I'm loving this challenge because it's low maintenance! It takes me seconds to bobby pin my hair in the morning.

Yes indeedy! They are heavy and my hands are small so I really can not grab it and do what I need with it so I just leaving it down. It is cut into really cute layers so It is cool. I looked at my scalp today and was like oh oil.. needed. ASAP..

This is very cute!!!

Thanks Smile

I've been rocking my twists since Tuesday. I've been moisturizing my hair using Qhemet Biologics Amla & Olive Heavy Cream, QB's Karkady Tea
Replenishing Mist, and Carols Daughters Mimosa Hair Honey. I also spritz in Black Onyx's Moisturizing Hair Perfume and moisturize my scalp with her Hair Growth Oil.

Today my friend was like "DANG KARYN! What happened to all of your hair?! Did you cut it?!" Hahaha. Shrinkage is no joke. I felt so self-conscious about the length my hair shrank up to even before he said that haha. Oh well.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I don't feel like flipping the pic, sorry haha.
