Flat Twists for Half your Hair
So the answer to this question may be different for someone transitioning versus someone who is natural. But I'm hoping someone can help me. I plan to where flast twists in the front part of my hair as one of my protective styles with the back being in twist outs, flat twist outs or flexi rod set.
The flat twists in the front look like this:

But when I took these flat twists out after 5 days, I noticed that there was some breakage from the rubber bands... but I didn't know how else to close off the flat twists. Anyone have suggestions???
Thanks!

Try securing the ends with twisted bantu knots.

I flat twist on wet hair and clip them down. When your hair dries the twists should stay in place.

I agree with all the sugesstions. If you do feel the need to use rubber bands in the future for whatever reason, you can soak them in some EVOO before putting them in your hair.

I've done that and it worked out great!

It's great. I don't use them on my DD's hair all the time, but whenever I do, it works like a charm! Btw, love your curls and color!
