@tiashauntee Okay...I'll try to swing by there when I leave the gym this evening so I can join you guys! I hear a lot about how good castor oil is for the hair, so Im willing to give it a try. What should I mix it with when I apply it? Or do you have to mix it with anything?

It's more of a personal preference, only you know what your hair likes and needs. Here is a list off optional oils if you want to mix: Carrier Oils
Re: Castor Oil Challenge
@tiashauntee Thanks girl! I'll come back and update tonight once I get the castor oil!
I do have a quick question...
Should you apply the castor oil in your scalp the day before you wash?

Re: Castor Oil Challenge
I was debating about doing the challenge on my daughters hair also they are 4 and 7. They are both natural, never any chemicals any we don't use any heat on their hair.
Should I do it once a week or twice?

I say start out doing it once and if everything goes ok, increase it to twice.

@Lynnieluve......I will probably wait until next weekend when I wash their hair. This weekend I will only use a damp washcloth to clean their scalp and touch-up their braids if necessary.

Re: Castor Oil Challenge
I'm in I use Castor Oil all the time as part of my regimen, but I haven't been specifically putting it on my scalp as the challenge rules state, so I'll start doing that.
To get us started:
What is your participation time frame: Feb. 6 - April 6
What brand you will be using: Home Health (with the green/blue label)
How will you or will you mix: Usually straight, but maybe with a couple of drops of Jojoba Oil mixed in.
When and how will you apply: I use it plain for DCing with my conditioner by parting and coating the hair with the CO and then using my Conditioner on top of that. Then I use it to seal in moisture mixed with Jojoba Oil, and I'll start concentrating on getting it on my scalp per the challenge instructions. And I'll use it when my scalp starts itching between washes.
What is your overall goal for this challenge: Healthy scalp and growth. My goal before BCing is 6-7 inches, if I hit that before May I may BC early.
I LOVE Castor Oil, so this challenge is right up my alley
