Re: MahoganyCurls- Herllo!!!! (In Madea's voice....lol!)
Me likely. I may try this WNG shake tonight since I've been co-washing near daily to keep low pollen levels in my hair.
Re: MahoganyCurls- Herllo!!!! (In Madea's voice....lol!)
MC, I'll have to try this washngo on my hair. Not sure if it'll do anything since I have a TWA. But before I BC'd and after I watched EVERY LAST ONE of your youtube videos since most of them were on TWA. So, I'm always looking for your next/new method...even though you are long past TWA phase.
Your hair looks fantastic. I love big hair and think it looks great on you. Such a simple routine yielded great results.

MC, I MISSED YOU. I LOVE THE NEW WASH N GO RESULTS. THE HAIR LOOKS LIKE IT HAS MORE VOLUME BUT YET THE CURLS ARE STILL APPARENT. I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL IT IS REALLY HOT OVER HERE SO I CAN WALK OUTSIDE WITH A WET HEAD AND HAVE IT FEEL SO GOOD........

Hi MC,
I know you're busy with your move. I hope things are going well, that is always so much work.
Stopped by to let you know I tried the method you posted on yesterday with refreshing your hair. I just ran my hair under the shower this morning shook a little and was done. My hair looked great today. I received compliments on the results.
Thanks always for such great tips!

Re: MahoganyCurls- Herllo!!!! (In Madea's voice....lol!)
Thanks guys!
Just saying hello, we are almost there!!!! Almost done with moving. Our internet will get cancelled the end of this month for our move and we will be moving into a hotel in a the week after next. I am soooooooooooooo excited. I have been missing a lot, so i have a lot of catching up to do.
Hair News: I shipped all of my "good products" back home yesterday, and that wasnt a good idea, anyway, i decided to use Jovahn Hello Hydration conditioner for my WnG...BIG MISTAKE! I used to love this stuff, i used it for a few days and my hair just didnt feel right. It felt rough and dry. I knew it was the conditioner. It is crazy,bc the cone doesnt suppose to build up, but i felt i had major build up with this. I would usually do a wash n go everyday, and my hair felt nice and supple and moist, but with the HH, felt horrible.
I was like oh NO! So, I went to my closet and lo and behold on the top shelf was my Kera Care 1st lather shampoo- the thought of putting sulfates in my hair made me cringe, but I had to that get that mess out of my hair.
Note: Even if you are following a CG method, i suggest keeping a clarifying sulfate shampoo around just in case you have problem...like I did...
i only lathered once and that did the job. I have 32oz bottle of BH MM that is literally on "E" I am banging the bottle just to get conditioner out. I am gonna try to go to the store sometime this week and see if i can find a an 80z bottle of MM to hold me until we leave. (sweet, my other MM has been shipped, i havent used it yet ).
If I cant find it, i will just use Suave naturals for my wash in go conditioner until we get home.
Oh yeah, I have also decided to use DevaCurl line exclusively until I run out when i get back home. I want to see if certain products really make a difference. I have to say, I have grown to love my DevaCare one conditioner and I LOVE the low poo (use rarely)...so I am curious about the other products.
My wash n go has been the DEVA 3 step routine:
Cleanse- cowash
Hydrate-leave in
Style- Gel (opt)
Of course the accordion technique is still being used...lately i have been struggling with second day hair, wich is odd. i think it is my satin bonnet. I am gonna eliminate that tonight and just use sleep on my satin pillow case instead.
I have also found that blotting my hair with an old t-shirt in a scrunching motion after i apply my products, eliminate the extra water and my hair doesnt dry so flat.
I think i am gonna buy the curls like us cloth too...so far the t shirt is doing th job though.
I have been neglecting my deep treatments too, so when i get home i will dc 2x a month with my DevaCurl Heaven in Hair Deep conditioner, If i like it, it is a keeper, if I do not, i will try the Jessicurl WDT or AO honey Suckle Rose Conditioner.
But that is about it, sorry about rambling, take care guys!

Hey MC,
I'm glad everything is going well for you and the move is progressing well. I know it's exciting for you to get back home.
Once you get their, keep us posted on the Deva line - I have yet to try that out.
Have a great day.

You know what I am glad you shared this. I have been tryng for the life of me to determine why my hair was so dry this weekend and when I went back to what I did. I was rushng Saturday morining and the HE was in the shower with me. I like have always ended up with great results but I was so sure it was my allergy meds. Hmmmm interesting...I will try again and see what happens.
I know you have to be tired, but the end reward will be sweet!

Is that the same as the HEHH? Maybe your hair just reached a length where the HH is not strong enough anymore. Glad things are coming along with the moving. Too bad you couldn't be home last week because there was a meetup in ATL that I didn't find out about until Monday. Anywho, keep us posted on the Deva care line I am interested in your results although I haven't tried it yet. Oh, I thought about you the other day in TJ Max. They had BHMM the big bottle for $11.99. I'm not sure if it did anything good for my hair since I only used it right after my bc so I didn't buy it. I bought my mom a small bottle that she hasn't used so I might get that one back and try it again. (Did I just ramble on your thread? Sorry!!!)

Yes, it will! THe HH is probably doing this, try eliminating it and see what happens.

Yes, it is the same herbal essence HEHH. It detangles fine, it just wasnt as good to me anymore, didnt moisturize my hair and made it feel very rough and dry. I havent been using it in a month or so, I am sure it is probably the cone in it. It never bothered me before, but now, I am not touching it with a 10ft pole. My hair never felt so bad. Funny how products we used to love change sometimes.
I will say this though, Moisture Maniac (TIGI) is my trusty product so far. It havent let me down yet. It is definitely a staple product of mine.
Yes, I knew about the meetup and the hair show, i wish i could have made it. I will have to try to do another meetup when i get there.
GIrl, i do not care about you rambling, Lol! I hope your mother likes it!

Hey MC,
Glad to hear your move is going well. For those strictly following the CG method, do you HAVE TO use a clarifying shampoo to remove any cones/build up? Or does a low poo or baking soda/ACV rinse work?
I used Yes To Carrots conditioner last week and realized afterward it has cones. I'm planning to exchange it for a Yes To Cucumbers, which is CG friendly. So I just used a shampoo bar to wash my hair (before and after my henna treatment). I thought about using the clarifying shampoo but wasn't sure.
TIA!

Thank you!
I would use a sulfate shampoo to remove the cones unless they are water soluable. If they arent, a low poo will not completely remove them. I used a sulfate poo last night and hated it, but it got the job done, now my hair is CONE FRee...I am now back to following a strict CG method, unless I know for a fact that the cones are water soluable, if they are not, it is a no go.
But yes, i would use a sulfate poo..i didnt know the yes to carrots line have cones, i was just reading up on it today...i will try the yest to cucumbers now..lol!''

Hey MC! Sorry to hear that the HEHH turned on ya, but cool that you got the problem under control. I have a huge bottle of Kera Care shampoo that I don't know what to do with. I guess I will continue to hold on to it in case of emergency.
