Oh yeah, if you want to stretch your curls you can weigh them down by taking a magnetic roller clip and clipping it to the ends of your curls! Leave it for about 5 minutes, and remove! It really works!
I just learned this tip last night from a friend that attended a local natural hair meeting. Then I get on here and see that you posted it! I'm definitely going to try this. My hair in the front is much shorter than the rest of my hair. When I did my bc, my stylist said that most of the perm left was in the front, so at any rate I will try this to elongate the curls. Fabulous info and pictures as always!!

Okay, I am about to hit the sack ladies...
Random:
BEFORE- Lol, i remember this picture like it was yesterday...I decided to thread my eyebrows after watching a lot youtube videos (this was taken january 2009) and I ripped the skin off the right brow! OUCH! that is why my hair is over the eyebrow! LMAO!!! The crazy part is, the left brow turned out NICE...now here is the funny part, i didnt have any thread and i was being impulsive, so I used FLOSS! NEVER EVER AGAIN! Ha..SMH!
AFTER-Now look at my eyebrows..that incident traumatized me! I will leave that to the professionals!
I would love to see your before and after pics in your threads! I think it would be fun to share!
Miss the length, but I am loving the natural hair, way too much! (The length will come!)
Guten Nacht!

I think I am about to try the Accordion Technique using KCCC
I am about to hop in the shower. NC.com sent me a 160z jar of the KCCC and I am thinking about trying it out. I do not have any KCKT so I will use V05 as my leave in. I heard it works well with the KCCC.
Will post results in a few...
I have tried KCCC 3xs following the directions and everytime i get a SERIOUS jhericurl look. But I am not about to throw it under the bus. A little goes a long way. I do like the fact it gets rid of frizz...
Let's see how it works with the Accordion Technique!

I love waxing. I get everything done when I get to the nail shop in Texas. Well I am in Iraq and we do have a beauty shop here, BUT they thread. They get tears every time, one because they either take forever because they are talking or arguing with each other, or they are not in the best condition with the hygiene. I WILL BE HOME AND IN THE NAIL SHOP ON THE 25TH!! THANK YOU GOD!!

Re: MahoganyCurls- Herllo!!!! (In Madea's voice....lol!)
OMG!
I just explained everything and I lost it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am soo screaming with rage right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am gonna start writing my stuff in word and copy and paste it! I was done writing it too! With pictures!
Sigh....
Anyway, I stepped in the shower and followed my usual steps. Note: I only cowash 1x a week, so If i get back in the shower during the week, i just wet my hair and start with the styling process.
Okay, after i wet my hair, i grabbed the V05 conditioner and started applying it to my hair. Showered, and started detangling. OMG! To my surprise, my fingers slipped through my hair so easily. With VO5! I really think this method helps with your hair having slip. Weird, i know, but everytime since started doing this, when i detangle it isnt a process. I dont even section my hair anymore, just apply the conditioner like the CG book suggest.
Anyway, I was pleased with that. I stepped under the water and let it hit my hair for a few seconds. Then I took about a dime size of KCCC (yes, a very small amount)rubbed my hands together and started scrunching the left and back. Took another dime size, started scrunching right and back. Then took a very very small amount less than a dime and rub my palms together and started scrunching the canopy.
Stepped out of the shower.
check out the pictures
Here is the jar of KCCC- I think i said 32oz earlier, but i made a mistake it is 16oz, a good amount still...you can tell from the picture how much product i used. Overall, i used about a quarter size of it for my entire hair! (Remember this is my 3rd time trying it!)
Now, the first 3x i tried it, i raked the kccc through or shingled it, not a good look. I read the container and it says for lose curls or waves scrunch...i should have did it that way the first time!
I still think she wants you to rake the KCCC through and scrunch, but raking KCCC in for me is a No-No!
My Hair-Wet-I scrunched excess water with a T-shirt..i need a curl cloth...lol!
Different lighting
So how do I feel about it?
I LOVE IT! I think the trick with KCCC is, you have to figure out how to use it. A little goes a lonnnnnnnnnnnnng way. I know it is expensive, but I can pay $30 for a product that will last just from refreshing it at least a week! It also elimnates the frizz. And the Jar will last a long time if you do not use too much! So far, I think it is awesome, well worth the price.
I will post my 100% dry hair pics later!
BTW- this stuff is potent! Lol!!!!

Okay - so now I must buy this stuff. I've been holding off for quite sometime now. I've seem mixed reviews on this product. But like you said, it's all in the way you apply/use it. I want the KCKT too!
Also I've heard other Curlies say you must follow the instructions on this product to have good results.
MC - I must say there are a lot of good (natural) products on the market for natural hair - you just have to apply them properly. I say this because I love to buy them .
I really don't want my hair to get use to any one product. I want to diversify.
