Good Saturday Morning Ladies:
I retwisted my hair last night - I have some things to get done today. I lightly spritzed hair with water and then I used the qhemet heavy cream mixed with the hydrating balm. I'll see once I untwist how that turns out. Just to get through today.
My wash/styling session will most likely start tonight or early tomorrow morning.

U know at first I wasn't too sure about the balm cuz I didn't know the consistency was like that. But I'm really starting to like it. I even used it to slick down edges last night. Oh how it shined. I don't think gels are for me cuz it always looks dry so I think it's a keeper. Can't wait to try on twists.

This duo worked out super well - defined and good hold. I like it. At first the heavy cream didn't do anything on it's own and then I was told to try with the balm - worked like a charm.

First WNG Attempt - Week 2 of being Natural
Ya'll sure do know how to put a person under pressure!
I used the Curls line along with Elasta Care Feels Like Silk
Still wet - I'm not sure I'm liking it - I want ringlets of curls - I just raked through with my finger in medium sections. Next time I will do smaller sections. The curls remind me of my twists? I don't know. These aren't the best pics - just giving you something to see. Once fully dried I'll post more.
I'll have to give this another shot - next weekend if it lasts that long. I perfect this technique. I should have it down by the time summer rolls around.

From what I see I think your hair looks good. Could you make your thumbnails a little larger? Did you apply your product on soaking wet hair? Wash n gos are tricky. I have found out that they are extra tricky when you are about 1 year post BC, because our hair is in that dreaded in between stage.
I have been practicing on my wash n gos too, bc they look different everytime, and for some reason i am having the hardest time getting it like i used too. I hate my wash n gos right now! Lol! But this isnt my thread this is yours, so enough about me.
Try doing this next time..I hope this helps
Cowash or shampoo hair
Rinse
Add your leave in (the curls line, if you want to use that) Make sure your hair is really wet...
Add about a quarter size to your canopy, (the front part of your hair smoothing it in) ..rub your hands together before you do it
Take another quarter size and add it to the nape and back area
Take another quarter size and add to both sides
Smooth your product in, like in a squishing motion
Now take your fingers and gently detangle your hair from ends to roots distributing the product evenly to your strands.
Okay, now you can rinse your hair under the shower for about 3-5 seconds this will help with curl clumping and distribute product more without removing it. I recommend using cool or cold water to seal the cuticle and help with reducing frizz and adding shine to your hair.
Get out of the shower...you can take an old t-shirt and gently blot your curls to get rid of drippies or you can gently shake your hair...
Style your part or leave it as it...let your hair dry...very important not to touch your hair...
Depending on how fast your hair dries, your curls should be pretty set...if your hair feel crunchy you can always take a litle oil or moisturizing product and rub in your hands and gently smooth it over your hair.
HTH!
Just sleep on it tonight and take a bottle of water and reactivate it in the morning...let the water sit for a few seconds..shake and go!
