IB & Sisterb beat me to it... I'm up at 6am thinking about your big day. It's funny how none of us have met, but we feel a connection due to our posting. I kinda like that.

I'm excited for you and at 2pm today my time...I will be thinking about you for sure. Can't wait until I get back home tonight so I can see the results.

I also woke up this morning thinking, "Today is the BIG day!" I am so excited!! Today is the day you let those beautiful curls free!!

Don't you all feel like you're gonna be with BBD when she goes for her BC?? I know I do!!!! And I'm so excited! I feel like it's my BC date too. lol I seriously can't wait to see the pics

The moment you all have been waiting for. I got the BIG CHOP done today at the a natural hair salon.

My hair was washed twice not sure with which product - they have all natural products in the shop such as, Curls, Miss Jessie, Nairobi, Kinky Curly, etc.

I got an initial chop all the relaxed ends cut off. I then I got a steam treatment using Miss Jessie's Rapid Recovery. Rinsed and applied another conditioner.

Then I got my final cut ... some relaxed ends remained. I got a flat twist out done. She used Nairobi Wrap It Shine Foam. She did 12 twelve flat twists. I sat under the dryer for 1 hour. Then twists were unraveled with Curls Elixir.

So here you have it:

Anyway - so what do I do with it tonight?

My longest strand in the back touches the top of my shoulder. Sides down to my chin. Crown is the shortest. Front tip of my nose.

I feel excellent ... like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I really feel good. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The stylist was very quick and before I could blink the relaxed ends were gone ... just that fast. And it didn't bother me at all.

I'm happy it's over. Now I can get on with styling it. I want to perfect a wash-n-go.
