@CurlyMo: I know I'm one to talk considering I had a set back, but I think you can pass. There's usually some sort of BOGO sale w/ Organix which would equal/be better than the Albertson's sale.

So today I purchased the Giovanni Smooth As Silk for my protein treatment that I will be doing later this week. I hope it works. I have added it to my stash list.

I am proud of myself. While I was in Target picking it up, I didnt even go down the hair aisle. I saw "PRICE CUT" tags too! It was mostly because Hubby was with me but I still take a little credit.

@Lynnieluve: We have to claim even the smallest of victories. Smile

I happily crossed some things off my stash list today. I also decided to extend my challenge a couple of weeks.

Post by Pinkrage 21st January 2010, 12:28 pm

OK, well I have been using my stash. I was about to give my MJ curly meringue away (after only 1 use) but decided to try it again. The first time I used it for a WNG...which was a HAYLE NO! I have been using it this week for my BNC and I LOVE IT! It smells really good and provides me with definition.

Last night I used Samy's for my BNC. It's not bad today. I didn't like Samy for my WNG! I am still gathering products to bring with me to the Curly Meet-Up this weekend. I don't plan on swapping for anything (keep your fingers crossed)!

The less I buy, the more satisfied I am with the products I already have. I'm really starting to see the waste of money and time in always buying new products. Some things have only been used once or twice-- ridiculous.

CHALLENGE: Use Your Stash - Page 10 Empty Re: CHALLENGE: Use Your Stash

Post by Lynnieluve 22nd January 2010, 1:38 am

I am so happy to be able to scratch another product off my list. Tonight since I had to retwist my hair anyway and my shea butter mix is running low, I decided to use the KBB Super Silky (sample size). I figured since it is not for my textured hair anyway I may as well use it up. There was just a little bit left so I just added it to my spritz.

**headed to update my list**

since i FINALLY took my twist out, i can enjoy my products already listed. im still itching to try the CURLS line but i want to feel like i accomplished something when i finish the challenge (esp for my oyin shoppin spree this spring), so im just gonna enjoy what i have!

one thing i know i dont need is anymore GELS!! i got eco styler, IC, qhemet and koils by nature! IM GOOD!!

Post by KinkyNappyHappy 22nd January 2010, 9:23 am

Well...I am very proud to announce that I haven't purchased any products in a week. I did purchase Oyin Handmade products last week, but I did indicate that I would be purchasing those items when I joined this challenge. So technically I'm still good!!! Right? lol!

So...I went to the store Monday to pick up a few things...cheese, spices ect...and what did I discover next door? Yes...a new BSS that I hadn't been in. I really thought I had covered all of them in my area. Sooooo......in I go. pale

I looked for products, I promised I did...and then I remember what my goal was for this challenge. So , I am proud to say that I didn't buy any products!!!! cheers

However, I had to buy something y'all. I purchased a small brush, a satin sleep band, and a silk scarf. Just a few accessories~does that count? Embarassed

I'm sorry....but I must confess "I am a Product Junkie", but I can say that I didn't buy any products on the 20th. That was my original routine..I purchase products on the 5th and 20th that I have on my products to purchase list.

I guess what I'm trying to say is....I'm still a work in progress. afro

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] That is too funny!!

You dont need anymore gels and I dont need anymore shampoo. I only shampoo my hair once a month (sometimes twice if I use a "bad" product). When I do shampoo, I only used a little bit so if I had to guess, I know I have enough shampoo to last me for next 3 yrs. LOL!

yes lynn, i agree; i definitely dont need anymore poo's! esp since i discovered dr. bronner castile soaps. i got the big 32oz bottles (baby mild and another scent) but you can use em for any and everything so they definitely last long!

@Nubie: I love, love, LOVE your new avatar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Beautiful!

@KNH: I had to put myself on a no buy challenge w/ accessories too. Since I wasn't buying products, I felt like I HAD to buy something for my hair. So, don't count the accessories and hair tools like bonnets, etc. unless it starts to get out of hand!

I'm adding a product to my list today. I didn't buy it, it was sent to me complimentary to resolve a previous issue.
