Today was a good hair day. I received some special hair gifts from a new friend. Had me excited like a kid on Christmas.

I almost forgot. While I was in Hawaii, I happened to run across a great little store. It's urban wear, but their signature logo is a cute lil cartoon with an Afro. I couldn't resist and bought a shirt and a bag. They have a website and I'd like to share it with ya'll.

Today was the Houston meet up! It went great. Met some new ppl. I'll talk more about it later. I'm still out n about. C ya!

So I've been kinda awol on here. Lots going on. The twists are fine. But starting to get a lil messy. I really wanna go ahead n do the twist out. But I'm not sure how that's gonna look either and then I may or may not be able to retwist them quite the same. I'll give them a few more days lol. Loveself247 and I went to Whole Foods after the meetup since it was just across the street. I got Lavender EO, Peppermint EO, Jojoba Oil, and Sweet Almond Oil. I mixed those in a small dropper bottle and had my mom apply some to my scalp. That really helped with the itch. My scalp felt tingly and good all day. I'll be adding Tea Tree Oil to this later, as well as seeing what different EOs work best for my hair.

When I first got the twists, she made them kind of curly, but that eventually fell. So I applied some of Afroveda Cocolatte Moisture Mask and pin curled some of them. It didn't exactly turn out the way I wanted, but it was decent. The messy random hair is actually kind of cute. (not quite picture worthy tho, in case you're wondering) I also put more of the Chocolate (it soooo smells like it. Yummy!) on the other twists as well for a little moisture.

School starts next week. I'd like to have nice first day of school hair (I know I'm too old to care, but you know) But I'm thinking the twists aren't gonna be at their best by then. I'd do a twist out, but then I'm not sure how that's gonna look either. And if I try that morning and it looks a mess, I won't have time to re-twist. But I'll let ya'll know what I decide to do.
