high school graduation

im in my senior year, and i do not know what im gonna do to my hair when graduation rolls around! how did you style your hair??

I straightened it just because I couldn't get my hair to fit under the cap lol. I'm sure there are natural styles (cornrows, flat twists) that are classy and without heat but my mom seemed like she didn't want me to wear her hair natural and I pretty much straightened it for her just that once.

You could try a bantu knot out. It could get your hair to lay down some and I think bantu knot outs are so cute yet sophisticated. Or, maybe you could just flat twist the front.

and @krissy, I understand. My mom always makes me straighten my hair whenever we go somewhere important. And I never feel like arguing with her so I just do it, lol.

Flat twists look really classy without being babyish. My friend did it a few days ago and I really liked how it looked. I just had to get used to my hair being "contained" lol.

A couple weeks ago, I got the urge to just do something dramatic so I cut about 4 inches of hair and added some color... without telling my mom lol. She'll get over it eventually.

DO NOT do what i did which was texturised the front of my hair and wore a curly weave in the back.it looked cute and stuff but when the weave came off it was hell dealing with the two totally different lengths and textures.
But u can consider braiding your hair in afro kinky and then getting it done in a updo or a cute side bun.

@Bun_Ana oh man bantu knots on my hair right now dont do too much lol maybe ny hair type also b.c of the length-but then again i still have 8 months more growth b.4 then lol nd if my mom made me do that we would not get along lol

@krissyc39 i agree flat twists are awesome but when i do them myself and i wanna wear then i end up waering a flat twist out b.c i feel they look frizzy nd poofy smh

She seems very disappointed. She's all "Why? Why would you do that? What made you want to do that? Is there something you're not telling me?" lol. Her hair is naturally dark brown with big waves. She thinks I'm trying to not look like her anymore, or something like that. Its really not that deep, lol. Just trying something new!

yeah i kno it sounds crazy but i ended up not cutting it although i really wanted to.I just mostly wear my hair in protective styles now for 2 weeks take it down, wash it and repeat till it gets to a reasonable length that i can rock a fro.
And yeah it does,i just wished i thought about it when i was graduating but u should give it a try.
