I am going to try to make it Sunday then do it over for the work week. I love how it looks when I life the roots with the blowdryer. I was in the salon with my daughter and everyone wanted to know how I got my hair like that. I LOVED it! You know I was so very proud to say its the versatility of my natural curl!

oh I should have taken a pic of the side and back. SMASHED city! LOL! but a little spritz and lil lifting and we were back in business. You can have coils, I think it so easy to do. Go for it!

Yes Pnuttie I just twirled them with my fingers. If you go back you will see the coils and when I did the coil out, I separated each coil 4xs. I really love what lifting the roots with a blow dryer does!!! I can't wait to try that on a WnG

Man I dropped my old one in the toilet. Yeah I take it to the bathroom with me. hahahahahaha! I was so very hurt. BUT got 10% off of the new one for recycling the old one! I am loading all 314 albums on it right now!!

I'm always afraid I'll drop something in the toilet because I usually keep my phone or ipod in my back pocket at work so I make sure I take them out before I go.

Hey Curlies,

no news today, still rocking the coil out, this is day 4 and I am sure I could get a day 5 but I am going to shampoo and restyle for the work week. It's getting dry and I had a looooooong day, so I doubt that I will do it tonight. Sunday will be hair day. Now I am off to check on BBD

I hope everyone had a good weekend. I had a busy weekend! But busy is good, you know what they say about idle minds; especially one with a broken heart. So I have been going until I drop, literally! ANYWAY on to the hair. I co washed with HEHH, rinsed, then used the same HEHH to detangle added some Hair nectar and put in about 12 big two strand twist. We did lunch and went to get our feet done. So the conditioner and oil combo was in my hair for a few hours (I put a scarf on my head and a hat on top). When I got in I rinsed and used AfroVeda PUr Whipped Jelly for a WnG. I am having HIH issues today, so I hope it's not frizzy in the morning.

I will say that my naked hair is getting bigger and the WnG always works for me. The Afroveda has some serious clumping affect, so much so that is looked like I had a baldspot! but I didn't thank goodness! Of course I have a double dose of shrinkage! LOL!

Before I end I must say Congrats to Blondebydesire on her BC on Sat!! You look Beautiful Sis!!

P.S. I watched Good Hair finally and the scene when he was talking to the teenagers and they were all talking about the work rocking the natural didn't fit in and looked unkept! Oh that ish pissed me off!! The labels that we put on each other is horrible!

I'm curious about the AfroVeda too. I've been wanting to try it but I'm trying to kick my PJ ways. And my HIH syndrome is in full effect right now too! I just can't stop touching my head. lol

the coil out made it hard to not play in my hair! LOL! I will let you know my final verdict on the product! Thank you!

Hair update:

Nothing special to report today. Day 2 of the WnG using AfroVeda Pur Whipped, it's a little crunchy as I was a bit heavy handed. When I got home today, I did the spray and shake thing to loosen them up a bit. I am in that in between stage, not quite long enough to hang but not short enough to really call it a TWA. I want my wash n go to hang with nice individual spirals! No pics today, my eyes are sad.

On another note. I think I am depressed, I don't want to do anything, it took all I had to get out of the bed and even more to stay at work today. This weekend I kept going afraid to stop and think, so I go from one extreme to the other. I just want to curl up in my bed and not feel what I am feelin. I know I can't get better because my spirit is sick, my heart is numb. I can't stop thinking or asking why, I can't stop the self examination, wondering what I could have done differently or why I bothered in the first place. I am so that little unsure girl playing grown up. I want my Momma, she would know what to say to me, I miss her. If I was an actress I would get an Academy Award, because on the surface, I am this confident natural haired sista bold enough to rock her curls as she efficiently runs her Call Center. Inside I am a COMPLETE mess!! *whew* I got that out.

Sweet, you may be...I've been there if you need to talk I'm here or PM me. One thing I will say is try to do what you like, rest, but don't go within yourself (if that makes sense). If you need more help reach out for it.

And hopefully to add a little smile to your face: My little one was suppose to be sleep in her room...she just peeped in and climbed up in my bed (hubby will be surprised when her comes to bed.
