Lynn, my spray has been controling my itchies pretty well. Its the aloe gro, but Im sure its not the aloe thats controling the the itch. Its more likely the peppermint and tea tree, I ordered mine from Amazon but Im sure u can get them locally. Good luck and can't wait to see what style you come up with (as far as a pin up).

Maybe I need to go back to spraying the aloe grow....I stopped just to switch things up a bit. I used Aloe Gro the first week of my twists and this week I have been using the condish mix. I will use the Aloe Gro tonight and see if it makes a difference tomorrow

(Week 6 Day 3)

My mini twist are starting to get fuzzy, my scalp is itchy (working out is probably not helping) and I dont think I will make it until next Friday, the 22nd.

I am gonna see if I can pull off this pin up do ( I will post pics, if its cute). If it looks ok, I will see how many more day I can go. I have a "HOT DATE" with hubby Friday night so I want to look cute.

I'm gonna oil my scalp tonight with some of the oils Chrs mention to see if it helps with the itchies. I am also gonna spritz my hair with a little water and rub my shea butter mix on my twist.

Off Topic:
I made it to the gym today. Did you?

That's all for now. Later curlies.

When you work do you wear anything on your head? I found out (a few years ago) that was something that worked for me. I used to work out hard, sweat bad, and drive home in the humid heat.

You mean "did" LOL. I need to get back on it. I used to wear a durag. Since everyone is sweaty and looking like a mess anyway I didn't mind being seen with it one. Plus...after I started a few other ladies started doing it.

I've done both but most of the time, it's on damp hair.

(Week 6 Day 4)

This is day 6 with my mini twist and...uh....yea. Last night I spritzed my hair with water and rubbed my shea butter mix all over to moisturized. Then I decided to play in my hair (I miss playing in my hair). So I tried the pin up do Tia suggested with my own little spin on it (TWA mini twist hawk). Results = FAILED!!! I only twisted the side up in the front since my hair is short. Y'all I looked like a bird. And looking like a bird on a HOT DATE with Hubby is not the business.

So I took that down and decided to flat twist the twist in the front only and leave the back out. Results = FAILED!! I looked like a 32 year old trying to look like a 16 year old. So I took that down too. I ended up just putting 3 flat twist on side. I didnt feel the need to take pics because that's style is kinda boring.

My plan for tomorrow is to co wash with the twist still in and see how it looks. If it looks ok, I will continue to wear the twist for a few more days. If not, then I'm not sure what I will do but I will let you know.

Let me tell you about my best friend (BTW, she lives in Miami). She decided to stop relaxing her hair because it was damaged. She wears sew-ins a lot so she figured she didnt need to relax as often anyway. She went without a relaxer about 11 months. She stopped wearing sew ins because her hair was healthy again. Well yesterday, she went back to the crack. SMH!!! She said she couldnt take her hair being frizzy and looking nappy. I told her natural sometimes is frizzy and looks nappy. She texted me while she was at the salon in the chair. So I texted her back and asked her if she was enjoying her scalp burning. LOL! I said all of that to say this. It's funny how when you hair is damaged, you stop relaxing it but as soon as it get healthy, you relax it again.

Later curlies!

Man, I'm sorry about your pin ups did not work out for you NOW. With practice, it will come, it will come.

Wow, yeah, uh, the friend getting the relaxer once hair was virgin is making no sense to me. LOL @ asking her if she was enjoying the burn.

Aww man, I just knew that twist style would work for you. Don't get discouraged, keep practicing and one day you'll either come up with something or be able to do the exact style you are trying to do

I sure hope so. She was not ready to embrace the curls. She always wore it straight. I wouldnt be surprised if she had heat damage. Too bad we live so far away from each other. :: Lynnieluve :: - Page 20 Icon_cry

When she hits "rock bottom" again, she stop relaxing. This is not the first time she has done this.
