@KNH - I used to use MaryKay's skincare and it helped me with acne also. But it seemed as if my skin became immune to it because it was the only thing I used for years. Its been awhile since I used it so I may try it again soon. I loved Marykay's skincare products.
@Jlow and PrettyV - I love Woodwinked!! That was actually the first Mac color I ever bought.
@PrettyV - I think its a theme too because I've been looking for more Orange colors. I found a blush the Nars Exihibit A and one from Black Radiance. Definitely on the lookout for an orange lipstick.

Kinky- Girl, I did the same thing!! I took my MAC with me too!! I got the Revlon in Rich Ginger. I hope this one works. I also found an orange lip stick, Revlon Super Lustrous in Siren#677, and Cover Girl lipstick in Enchantress#365. I will take some pics later so yall can see the colors. Ok, so.... I have all this stuff and no where to put it!! Well, i do have a makeup bag and a couple of bags full of gloss and lip stick but i need something better. I have tried to find a train case big enough for everything but the ones that I have seen dont have enough room. Any suggestions??

@Brandi - I use the clear three tray Sterilite Drawer organizers that you can get at Walmart and Target.

The Walgreens I saw it at had testers. Not sure if all the displays do.

The display at Walmart had testers too, the one on the endcap had it but not for all the colors. I just kinda played it by ear. I knew the darkest color was too dark so I went with the second to last color.

Nubie and missmo- you just gonna have to open that bottle up!! The Fit oxidizes after it dries so it gets darker. I think I need to go a shade lighter #315 or I may have to mix to get my shade. I wasnt mad because it was only 6 dollars and some change. The Color Stay was a good color but it is sheer coverage so I will probably put on some Studio Fix powder over it to get a better coverage.
Nubie- did you go to a MAC counter and get some samples yet?

Re: Makeup - Have You Checked for e.l.f. in Your Target?
@nubie & missmoriah, I have read that you could take the foundation to a nearby door to check the color against your chest area. Another thing you could do is to purchase the foundation from a drugstore that accepts returns on opened cosmetics. I think Rite Aid and Walgreens accepts returns. Also, Iman's cosmetic site gives a break down of the colors on her site. For instance, if you know you wear Black Opal's Heavenly Honey, she tells what color of her foundation to pick. If you find that color you could then go to the other brands she compares to her line. I know she has MAC, and I think she also has Revlon ColorStay.
I did not purchase anything this weekend but last weekend. I picked up a few NYX professional brushes, two crease brushes & a duo fiber brush. I also got the remaining Wet N Wild palettes, Vanity, Greed & Pride. I picked up another black gel/cream liner and one of their duo sticks (shadestick & eyeliner). CVS was having a buy one get one 50% off sale. They were also having serious markdowns on some products--I picked up a couple of bronzers and lipsticks. I am pleased with the majority of my purchases.
I'm repping the NFC today, Go Packers!!!

@nubie, I have heard to either test your jawline, inside of your wrist or chest. I like to match my foundation to my chest since I tend to wear round neck or v-neck style tops/dresses.NubieNatty wrote:awww shizzle chrs!!! hot look!!

Re: Makeup - Have You Checked for e.l.f. in Your Target?
Very nice eyes Chrs!!!
I just went to a NARs counter last week, was looking at the foundations and I put it on my chin and the sales lady said no, put it near my nose to compare better. Turns out the color is pretty much close to what I need and worked. Ummmm New Guinea Firming. Not too pleased with that name, LOL, but it works.......

@Brandi, so pretty!
Y'all I am loving contouring. I use Black Opal's carob to contour my forehead, nose and cheeks. I can see my face transform in front of my eyes. I am also getting the hang of applying blush and highlight. It really does make a difference. It is not overly dramatic. It's subtle and soft.
Here are a couple of pictures, not sure if you can see the contour. I took jlow's idea and used a colored liner under my lower lash line. I like it.

Anything you have recently discovered? If so, please share. We'd, or at least, I'd love to know.

Re: Makeup - Have You Checked for e.l.f. in Your Target?
@Chrs that is a very nice look. I'm using the contour/blush palette from BHC and I'm still trying to figure it out.
@Brandi..your weekend look was very pretty. I wonder what I'm doing wrong. No matter what color I use is looks like the same!! No color...LOL
Great find on the conversion looks like I would wear Natural Tan. Interesting...thanks for sharing!

Re: Makeup - Have You Checked for e.l.f. in Your Target?
Hi brandi, it is a liquid liner. It is the new one Milani put out.brandiitneka wrote:Chrs- is that a cream color under your lid or a liner?
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
It has a thicker consistency than most liquid liners but once it is on, it does not budge, AT ALL. Definitely not suggested for those new to applying liquid eyeliner.
