Coil Outs

@Pinkrage: Your coil out came out really cute. I think I'll try this style again now that my hair is a little longer. I did it when I first BC'd, but I don't think I coiled them very well. It ended up looking more like a wash n go than coils.

Do you use a comb to do yours or did you do it by hand?

I did it by hand.

For my coil outs I use Giovanni Direct Leave in (or some other moisturizing product), coconut oil and ORS lock & Twist gel. I twist my hair up, clip the roots, and air dry for about 30 min & then sit under the dryer for another 30-1 hour.

Does anyone have pics of a coil-out on a TWA? Everytime I see a coil-out, there are miles of scalp showing and sorry - I'm just to self-conscious to rock that look to work.

And, is this something I can do myself?

My hair is currently in coils (check out my BnB thread). I am gonna do the coil out Sunday. I will post pics then.

@Natural and Nikkie thanks!! I used Qhemet Biologics Alma & Olive Heavy Cream and Olive & Honey Hydrating Balm...I really like their products...

I must admit tho I loved my hair today (4 day old hair!)

Thanks Tia! That was my first coil out. I think I gonna do a repeat this week for another coil out for Christmas. The downside is the finger coils took me 4 hours last time.
