4-month Growth Post BC (Pic Heavy)
Hello everyone. I was looking at my hair journal on my computer last night and I was happy with what I saw. When I look at my hair in the mirror, I can't tell how much it grew. When I looked back at the pictures, it was then I saw how far I've come in a few short months.
I am getting settled on a good regimen and took the advice of everyone and found what my hair likes and doesn't like. When I first started, I was doing waaay too many things my hair didn't like it. I experimented and realized that less is best for my moptop. I've also realized that my hair won't do what others can do--no matter how much I try. There is no magic product; no magic solution. TLC is all my hair needs. I just keep it hydrated, styled, and hope for the best. I don't know why I have that darn product junkie fever, though!!!!! Anyway, I wanted to show you ladies my journey so far.

Thank you ladies!
Letoya, I picked up a gold and silver one from Claire's (or the Icing, can't remember), a few weeks ago. It gives my hair some extra umph when I use it. You can adjust the metal bands to cover your whole head if you want to. Love it!

Thanks RayRay! I knew you weren't far behind me. I can't wait to see an update.
Thanks Indidiiamond! I see your posts and follow your journey. Experiment! I didn't find the right ingredients right away to help me. It took a while for my hair to get over the bc-shock. I experimented on what felt good on my hair. I have had good days and bad days. It'll all come together in the end. Hang in there!

Thanks J! We need to get together with LeToya again (this time on a weekend). Girl, I had to do another ACV rinse last night. The front and crown of my hair wants to come in darn-near straight (second pic), but the acv scrunched it back up real nice. I don't know how long it'll last, though. The two textures aren't looking too hot on my short hair.

Re: 4-month Growth Post BC (Pic Heavy)
Fleur, you may want to try some perm rods sets, twists for twist outs, straw sets, or something along those lines to create the illusion of same texture hair. I am about to go into 10th month of transitioning mid next month and these styles are very useful for that purpose!

Thank you for the compliments, CiaE and Sweet Tea!
Cia, girl you had better grab that headband quick. Claire's and/or The Icing don't keep the same accessories in their stores for too long.
LaToya, we can definately go to WF. I ran all through the hair and skin section. I'm thinking about going to Austin next since they have stores for scarves, organic products, and more natural salons than SA for sure.
Nola, I tried the twist outs and it was ok. No matter how much I try to manipulate that section of my hair to match the other part, it doesn't work right now. It doesn't last and puffs out in the end. Perm rods might work. I'll try that next.
Oh and clarification in PIC 3: not a bald spot. I am wearing a finger-part with the headband.
