RayRay19: I am now a member of!!!!

ok so this morning I took down my twist (like every morning) and started fluffying them out for my twist out..so after i was done i notice i felt something on my neck..I ran to the mirror and OMG THICKUM was touching my neck!! SHE WAS HANGING YALL!!! I got HANG TIME!!! it felt sooo nice to feel her all day!! lol I was sooo excited..here's a couple of pics from out good day!!

I really need to keep thickum in some twist so she can stay clear from this weather BUT im lovin her too much at the moment..when classes pick up I probably will though

Ray - you funee girl! Great progress! Know what you mean/feel about 'is that thickum I feel on my neck'. As my twists were/are getting longer, I was like my hair feels funny: it was the length and movement! Yeah Babee!

Update!!
so much has been going on in these past few weeks!!! this semester is going to be busy busy busy i can smell it already lol...now im not a fan of protective styles but for the past 2 weeks thickum has been in twist (I wear my twist outs during the weekend though)..its just soo much easier to wake up and throw on a beanie..

Now its time for the good new!!
thanks to the lovely Fleur!! thickum is now reunited with her beloved QHEMETS AOHC!!!

lol it was love at first sight all over again!!

And in other new!!
Today is wash day..which thickum really needs because I got a lil too happy with the qhemets AOHC so she has a lot of product build up at the moment..but anyway while i was pre pooing my hair with Castor oil/coconut oil/jojoba oil I decided to try to put my hair in a PUFF!! and it was a success!!!



but it quickly gave me a headache soo im not sure if this is going on thickum's list of styles BUT with a lil more practice it might!!

Ray, your hair is looking GREAT! Go Thickum! Oh and totally in love with the AOHC. My hair loves the stuff...it is perfect for winter!

YAY!! I love that name 'THICKUM' protective styling can be tedious but it does help not having to mess your hair in the morning. Keep up the good work.

6 months ago on Aug 3rd I parted with my relaxe hair and fell in love with my NATURAL HAIR!! these 6 months have taught me a lot about my hair
1. Thickum is thick
2. She loves creamy and thick products
3. She hates gel (dries her out bad!!)
4. Water is a friend/enemy (it moisturizes BUT shrinks her up like crazy)
5. I LOVVVEEE TWIST OUT/ FRO HAWKS
6. and the most important thing ive learned over these 6 months is that protective styling isnt that bad..as long as it doesnt involve extension..

Update on Thickum!!

Well today is Thickum 7 months natural anniversary!!and she's looking a little rough today..she a little try and the definition from my twist out is gone so tonight (hopefully if i have time) I will be co-washing and re twisting for a twist out for the the rest of the week..


i think my hair is 4 to 4 1/2 inches now!!! YAAAY GROWTH

Thanks! yea school is crazy this semester im trying to get in the nursing program next semester..and yea i still use castor as a oil rinse when i remember too..

Ray, your hair is so big and beautiful at 7 months post BC! We chopped around the same time and mine is super big when it's freshly washed, but then it settles down when it dries (womp, womp). Are you twisting wet or dry?

Btw, that second pic is hilarious! Go sister, soul sister! LOL
