Hey ladies

Has anyone got a simple recipie for a strong hold product gel/cream?
traditional gels often flake a bit in my hair and dont like the feeling of most gels either, but when I braid, i need gels for hold . . any one got any recipies i could try.

I dont have many of your products as they differ a lot here in the UK, but let me know in case please!

Many thanks xx

Have you ever tried the recipe for Eco Custard? Basically you just use Eco Styler gel and add oils and aloe vera gel if you want. There's many variations of the recipe and you can even use other gels if you like.

I havent, but i'll try and get some eco styler, where I am in Portsmouth, Uk, we dont have many shops selling these products, just your usual mainstream brands like L'Oreal's etc!
I'll nosey on the net though! Thanks x

@Kez, you can try making your own gel using flax seed also called linseed. Please note flax seed/linseed is not good for those with thyroid issues/problems. I haven't tried it yet, but I saw it on you-tube on Naptrual85's channel. I'll try it when I'm through with my current store bought natural aloe vera gel. Here's the link:

I like aloe vera gel and castor oil mixed together. It provides a nice hold, is all natural, and leave hair shiny and curls defined.
