This is just sad.

Yeah. That's pretty sad. It is a shame. Hopefully the YT community will move on as soon as possible.

It was really crazy.... I logged onto YouTube and was like woooooow! Really though?

I like Kimmaytube and feels she has alot to offer but I do notice that she is a OVERLY confident woman and it comes off as arrogance and attitude in her videos. I was disappointed in the way she reacted to the situation. & her whole "I made you" comment was soooo unnecessary. Seriously though?

Taren is a sweetheart and a genuinely nice person. You can tell in her personality and the way she speaks in her videos. I think she handled herself very ladylike and I respect her for that.

In my opinion, both women have very different things to offer and I will continue to watch them both. If at anytime I feel I'm not liking what I will see, its just as easy to click the "x" at the top of the screen. This whole situation was just blown wayyyy out of proportion...

I'm not really a fan of Kimmytube - I notice unnecessary attitude from the few that I've seen and she really doesn't offer anything that will help me...so I didn't see her videos.

I just recently subbed to Taren...but I'm not a huge fan of her's either. She seems nice enough with a few good tips. Again, she isn't one of my YT favorites.

With that said no I don't idolize anyone, especially not on YT. I've found that the drama on YT especially among the natural community is hilarious! I've attended a few BlogTv sessions and the comments about folks are crazy and super funny. Everyone has an opinion; which they're entitled to. I think its stupid for grown women who don't know each other to try to tear each other down. Grow up and get a life. Nobody made anybody...But the Heavenly Father...stop it!

I don't idolize but I enjoy watching my "gurus". I was a subscriber to both Taren and Kimmay for different reasons but one purpose, natural hair health. Love taren's videos and she seems so sweet, caring, personable and knowledgeable, I can relate to Taren and she feels like a member of my Natural Hair Family. Now KimmayT on the other had is a Brand, and Business, and wants to be a leader and guru. I took her channel as a way to learn facts about the way Our Natural Hair works, performs, and should be treated (protective styles and moisture).

Personally I like Taren and tad bit more only because of her personalty and I can feel her compassion in her knowledge of hair. KimmayT was more like taking an online class for school. So I do watch them both but they have different styles in the way they do their videos.

Now I am a Video Blogger, just starting out and I can see how KimmayT may have taken it personally. But since her name wasn't mentioned I don't feel that she should had taken it that far as to attack both Taren and other viewers. I mean come on, I'm a member of the hair care forums and not everyone likes me, but so what. Not everyone is going to like me, not everyone is going to appreciate my honesty or my humor, people rate my videos down and so what, I'm not going to take them off YouTube just because I rubbed someone the wrong way and I'm not going to block people and remove comments. All people have to do is not click on my channel or just hit unsubscribe, just that simple... A war was not needed and the attitude was so uncalled for ffrom KimmayT. I mean if you really had a problem maybe you could have shot Taren a personal email and waited for her reply, you could have asked her directly if the video was talking about her.

I feel that Taren responded as a Lady. If anyone of you have met me in person you know I wouldn't have been as nice as Taren was. So Taren held her own and I will continue to watch her channel. KimmayT I have unsubscribed from, she has over 35,667 subscribers now, one less wont hurt and I can always browse her channel if I want more scientific information.

OMG, I am trippin more over this video than the comments KT left on Taren's channel. She can't be for real! I mean seriously! Tell me you just want people to watch your channel so get a higher viewer response and perhaps make partner... This has to be a joke.

I'd check YT on and off, but never was on it like that. Clearly, I'm going to need to step up my YT game and I can cut all my Bravo shows off. Lol, but it's really sad that these are suppossed to be adult women.

Is anyone surprised? Really? The natural hair market is going to be a battlefield because this is a market that is exploding and many more conflicts are to come. No one OWNS the natural hair movement. This is our history! My auntie laughs at me because she said they never did all these things back in her day to maintain their natural hair. While I appreciate the advice from folks on YT, usually I end up experimenting with my own regimen because my hair is a stubborn heffa who turns her nose up at most of the things I try. That's why I'm taking care of my hair from the inside with a healthy diet and vitamins. This is what it's all about: experimenting and finding what works for you. I won't stop watching YT videos because they can be informative, but I don't die by the sword for them. It's just hair, lol! That is why I love this site so much--no drama, just information and genuine support.
