I look at my BLH (thats short for boob length hair.....) and then i look at my measly 5 months worth of new growth and i wish i could fast forward to 12-18 months so i can see whats going to happen:-(
How do you FIND the patience?
How long did YOU transition?

I never planned to transition long because I didnt want to wait that long. My original plan was to transition 4-6 months. I self BC'd exact 4 months after my last relaxer.

I feel the EXACT same way. I wish that I had started this journey earlier. I really wanted to go natural when I was a teenager, but my mother was against it. Now ten years later I'm finally doing it. I'm planning on a long transition (at least 18 mos), but patience has never been one of my strengths.

I found patience by cutting the relaxed ends off of a small section of my hair in the front. Seeing that section everyday, reminded me that the rest of my hair was too short to cut (I did not want a TWA, not that there is anything wrong with it). I also tried out different products on that section to see how my completely natural hair would react to them.

I transitioned from 9/17/09 to 9/22/10.
