How fast does your hair grow?

So I stretched and measured my hair today to find out that grew way more than I thought. I took my measurement today and divided by how long I have been natural and found out the my hair grows about .61-.66 inches a month. That gives me a big happy face!

How much does your hair grow a month?

My hair grows 1/2 inch each month. Sometimes I think it grows faster than that. When I was a permie, I knew my hair grew fast but I couldnt retain length.

I measured my hair at 8 months post. So it grows about .3-.625in/month. I will measure it again this weekend and see if my hair is more even and retaining length. If not I needs to change things. O.o

My hair grows about 1/2 inch a month as well. I got color a month or so ago and as of now a little over 1/2 inch of my natural color has grown in...

yea mines grow about 1/2 inch a month as well..when i did my BC i was at 1 inch!! but now im 3 months post and my hair is around 2 1/2 inches!!!

Mine only grows about 0.3 - 0.4inch per month. It might be growing a ibt faster and I'm just not retaining the length.
I was also thinking of getting color so it'll be easier for me to see how much my hair has grown.

Wow I was thinking of getting color just for that reason too. Haha I thought it was crazy though. But I think coloring will reallyyy dry my hair out.

So after an update, I'm at a 1/2 inch as well.

My hair grows fairly quickly, here is a pic of exactly 6 weeks of growth~

From the looks of things my hair is a bit on the slow side. It's grown alot. But when you consider the inches my hair has only grown about 2.5 in 8 months. Making it about 0.3 inches a month. OR it could just be that I'm not retaining the length. But I don't really have breakage, moreso shedding. Anyhow, it has yet to STOP growing altogether. It is still getting longer. So I'm not going to obsess over the inches.

I am however, thinking of coloring just a section of my hair probably in the front like golden blonde. When I do this, I will be able to tell if growth or retention is the culprit.

I should also add that I'm a 4a/b. My hair curl directly at the scalp. Even when I tried to straighten it (lol) there were still bends and it wasn't smooth. So I don't know if I'll ever see the "true" uncurled length of it. (unless I get out the pressing comb... No thanks. Lol)
