Its my nappiversary!!!!! Yay one year down!!! How am I going to spend it... DC tonight!!!! My baby is getting alittle love and attention before she gets put up for the winter and the birth of the twins!!!!

It's sufficiently cold outside. Winter is upon us and these braids are staying in until freaking February.

I have a problem - I keep buying products so I'm giving them away to family as gifts.... maybe ..... I'll tell you how that goes ^.^ lol

@Lynnie the twins should be here Feb 20!!!!! I'm so thankful thats not to much longer...my body can not take it!!! They are growing at a great pace and so am I!!!!! lol

Sooo ... my perm rod set ... epic failure! Not quite sure what to do to salvage my hair before work. Frustration setting in ...

You really dont have that much longer. My son's bday is Feb 12th and he was due on the 21st.

I turned down a date with a very sexy man because I'm shy about revealing my hair to the public:( I haven't seen this guy in forever and last time he saw me my hair was permed, straight, and flowing down around my shoulders......now I have a TWA and I haven't felt pretty since I did it. Dammit....why did he have to contact me HOURS after I did it?!?!?

Oh.......and I don't want to take my happy ass to the gym even though I TORE UP some Wendy's last night!

Just took time to put twist in my hair!!! Hopefully when I take them out on Monday I will finally have a successful twistout!!!

Well my twist-out for the first time since I have been natural turned out pretty nice...alittle frizzy but who cares!!! I loved it, the hubby loved it, and even the folks at work had nice things to say about!!!

Really anxious to know what my natural hair will look like without the permed but too afraid to cut it.

Also kinda worried that when I find out what it looks like, I'll be gravely disappointed and not know how to manage it.

Wow Lynn, My daughter was just born this year on the 12 of February, after unfortunately losing my third son (31 weeks pregnant) on February 21st (2 yrs ago)..Just struck me when I just read your post..
Congrats Cutiez on twins..May God keep you until you look at those precious gems face to face.

I like that...."put up for the winter and the birth of the twins!!!!" and that's a great way to view protective styling. Your hair will thank you and come Spring she'll be showin' out!

Now in regards to being disappointed, that's really going to be based on why you're making the choice to go natural. There are many many reasons why we "go natural" (i.e. want something different/tired of relaxing, want to see curl pattern, allergic to relaxers, etc.) In my humble opinion there is no right or wrong reason b/c at the end of the day it's your hair and your choice.
