2 TYPES
I have been transitioning for almost 3 months and right now I am a little confused. Is it normal for your hair to seem like there may be different curly types at first. From the fromt all the way to the crown my hair is real wavy and seems real soft, meanwhile the back is drier and more kinky. Am I doing something wrong or is this a part of growing it out? If you ladies haave any tips it would be much appreciated. Thanx ladies
Re: 2 TYPES
if you still have your relaxed hair it could be that giving you the two different textures.
Re: 2 TYPES
This might not change and it is normal, most women have a bunch of different hair types. I've been transitioning for almost 7 months and the hair in my crown area has looser curls, while the middle back area is much tighter plus I have this 1 random patch of loose waves. If I went by the Andre Walker typing system (which is very limited IMHO) I'd say I have some 3b and 3c but mostly 4a and 4b. Its confusing and weird at first but don't make any conclusions until you have some more new growth, and eventually you'll get used to the different textures.
