Curl Type Empty Curl Type

Post by findingkoko 29th July 2010, 8:25 pm

Hello,

I am transitioning out of a relaxer (approx 6 - 8 months) and although I have worn my hair in a wash & go in the past, this is my 1st real attempt at trying to wear my natural. I would like to know my actual curl type as I want to know how to properly care for my hair. I have damaged my hair due to relaxers and color, the pictures attached are from my washing yesterday and using olive oil as a treatment, with conditioner left in. [/size]

]Thanks

Koko

Although the pics didn't come through, I can tell you you won't be able to see your true texture until the relaxed ends are cut off. This is because the relaxed hair weighs down the new grow, distorting the look of it so you can't tell the actual type. Hair type isn't as important as knowing is you have fine, medium, or coarse strands and if your hair is porous or not.

Thanks; I also figured out how to show the images. I am so new to this I want to make sure I do not do further damage to my hair and I am not quite ready for the BC. I have been doing the tightlycurly method, but my hair is coming our hard and crunchy. I am just not sure what the problem is [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
