Spray Bottle Mixes
Ladies please share what you use in your spray bottles....I want to try a few different mixes to see what works best.
Right now I plan to use Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Leave In, Water, and Africa's Best Herbal Oil.

Re: Spray Bottle Mixes
I use Herbal Essences Hello Hydration, extra virgin olive oil and water--shake it up and go to town! I LOVE it! If I'm restyling without washing, I'll usually spritz with this first. This makes it easier for me to restyle with softer, manageable hair.

My mix consists of water, glycerin, conditioner, peppermint/sweet orange and tea tree oils, as well as castor/jojoba oil. When I'm not using this spritz I moisturize with diluted Just for Me detangling spray.

Re: Spray Bottle Mixes
I mix Giovanni Smooth as Silk Conditioner, peppermint oil, jojoba oil, castor oil, coconut oil (you get the idea..lol) and spring water. I spritz in the morning, or when I need to style, but don't need a wash.
As far as you using GF S&S leave in, I believe that product has cones & parabens=no bueno for your hair. But the Africa's Best Herbal Oil sounds excellent! I'd leave out the GF and use your favorite regular (curly girl friendly) conditioner (doesn't have to be a leave-in because you're going to add water anyway). Let us know what you decide & the results!

Re: Spray Bottle Mixes
I just switched up today. I have water, glycerin, coconut oil, Yes to Cucumbers conditioner and a little rosemary oil.
Re: Spray Bottle Mixes
where do you all purchase these olis from? What stores? I think I'm overlooking some of these lol
Re: Spray Bottle Mixes
I use Garnier Sleek and Shine condish (regualr not leave in) about 2 full squirts, (2 tbsps ??) lol. 1 tbsp each of olive oil and castor oil. I first combine the water and condish (shake very well), and then I add oils. When I do it the other way it clumps and I have to wait awhile to use it.

I got a few from Vitamine Shoppe (coconut oil, essential oils, jojoba oil). castor and olive oil can be purchased from any grocery store/pharmacy (kroger, walmart, walgreens)
I've also heard WholeFoods has them or try any Vitamin store in your area.

Re: Spray Bottle Mixes
I purchased some my oils (rosemary, Joojoba, something else that escapes me) from GNC. I will be going to the Vitamin Shoppe from now on, because I think it's a wee bit cheaper. I purchased the EVCO from the Vitamin shoppe the other day.
I picked up my castor oil and EVOO from Walmart. Glycerin at the BSS store.
BTW I am loving the EVCO. I'm even using that on my face and I have never, ever used an oil on my face. I'm a die hard Mary Kay girl, but I'm low on moisturizer. So I decided to try the EVCO. This stuff feels divine.

WhosthatRed,
Isn't it amazing that oils aren't greasy. I always thought oil = grease by nature of the word "Oil". So not so.

Re: Spray Bottle Mixes
I use a few mixes:
FOR MOISTURIZING (can be used daily on any style) - vegetable glycerin, jojoba oil, coconut oil, olive oil (extra virgin), rosemary oil and avocado oil mixed with water.
FOR DRY SCALP - coconut oil, rosemary oil, olive oil and tea tree oil
FOR DRY SCALP (don't put this in a spray bottle, instead I put it in a squirt bottle to easily part and add to scalp) - castor oil and tea tree oil OR castor oil and glover's mane

Re: Spray Bottle Mixes
I had aloe vera gel in the bottle the last time. Not sure why I didn't put it this time. I think I was waiting to buy the aloe vera juice.

Re: Spray Bottle Mixes
I use aloe vera juice, glycerin, water and VO54 moisture milks conditioner. I spray morning and night and my hair never gets dry, it really has thrived since I started doing this. To begin with, I was daily co-washing but I just could not keep it up due to time factors. So now I only co-wash once a week in between shampoo washes. My hair has benefited from not being manipulated so much too.
