So what's the challenge? Does that mean you are gonna stick with the Nourish Spa conditioner for a while to see how your hair likes it?

Hi there serenity!! Yes MAM!! i said i was gonna stick with that until march 1st! i also want to limit shampooing my hair ...do u remember VintageCurls at the meetup?? well she was telling me about how she cleanses her scalp with baking soda....I tried it (this is the 2nd weeek that ive done it) and it works like a charm!! Ive been told my Chrs..and others that this can replace shampoo..so i think i will try that until march to see how my hair responds Me & Mandy - Page 16 Icon_biggrin

sweet and lynn...hey ladies! how are yall?

well i guess its been a while...thats partly because my hair hasnt been doing much..and bc there has been alot of fam issues..

anywho!

Mandy's Mood->

my girl is doing very well...she is just going with the flow and im finally beginning to find what she really loves and adores and stick with those products/techniques.

Ive put myself on a personal challenge...Im only going to stick to two conditioners (Trader Joes&Suave) and basically use the same things over and over to give my hair some regularity...

Ill be using shea butter, evco,evoo (and other natural things like that) and cantu shea butter leave in if i want a little extra hold..Olive oil eco styler gel (trying to practice my wash n gos for the spring!)

I dont plan on shampooing but using baking soda instead..which is amazing by the way....

so ill do all of this until April..just to see how my hair responds, and if i can do away with most of my products...

i started all of this Feb 1st and so far its going great! The TJ conditioner works wonders for my hair..i thought i liked HE HH...child..the TJ put that conditioner to shame! I havent used it for co washing though(in love with Suave Naturals for that)..but its an EXCELLENT LEAVE IN...im so in love wit that conditioner...i can apply as much as i want with no build up...my hair used to be kind of dry crunchy at the end of the week..but now my hair is soooo moisturized..even if its dry it has moisture (i dont know if that made sense)

but thats all im doing...twisting as usual...

OK, why are you testing me! You KNOW I can't buy anything due to my challenge. TJ is on the list to purchase and try out. Why do you have to compare it to HH. That is not fair.

I use HH for my co-washes and sometimes for a leave-in (haven't used it as a leave in for a long time). I am IN LOVE with KBB shampoo and conditioner. I compare everything to KBB to determine if it's a keeper or will get the boot.

How do you do the baking soda rinse?
