I use HH for my co-washes and sometimes for a leave-in (haven't used it as a leave in for a long time). I am IN LOVE with KBB shampoo and conditioner. I compare everything to KBB to determine if it's a keeper or will get the boot.

Yes Pinkrage!! i do..lol..I guess bc everyone just shortens the name up a bit...lol...AND girl i know im not supposed to be using anything else either..im trying real hard to use my stash BUT i just had to give it a try! ohhhhhhh its lovely! i mean i love my HE Hydration and used to use it faithfully as a leave in too...my hair would be soft but a slight crunchy by the end of the week if i didnt refresh it...PinkRAGE omg the trader joe's leaves my hair sooooooooo soft..i im soooo amazed! i havent co washed with it yet..BUT i will really soon just to test it..ITS ONLY 2.99!!!

BAKING SODA Treatment

PROS: ok so i dont know how this works with everyone but the purpose of it is to cleanse ur hair and scalp as well as condition ur hair. Its also said to remove the bulk (for some). ive read some things saying that it also makes ur curls really "pop"

CONS: the baking soda can make your scalp and skin irritated...

My Experience: so ive done this for 3 weeks in a row...(i dont know if thats good/bad) but it took about 1/3 or less of baking soda and a 1/2 cup on conditioner (i prefer a thick conditioner..tried using V05..big mistake) and mix the two together...I applied it all over my hair in smoothing motions..i didnt really rake the mixture through. I massaged it on my scalp gently for only a few MOMENTS...i bagged it and let it sit for about 45 min.

I felt my scalp tingle so that was an indicator that it was doing the job (baking soda is cleaning agent) so i rinsed it out with cool water ..

My Curls: My hair is thick and curly+kinky+coily so my curls pop a different way ...they they are more like fat ringlets...I had hang time! like they drooped and hung...my hair was soft and it did make the middle of my head easier to detangle (i guess thats what they mean by removing the bulk)

i followed with a deep conditioner treatment...Chrs told me that it could replace the use of shampoo....so ive been doing that..

I use the baking soda to replace shampoo as well - most of the time. I'll still use shampoo if my hair feels really gunky. Do you have pics of your hair after the treatment? Or did I miss it in the thread ...

@ B ...no I dont.. and dont worry u havent missed a thing! Thats the first time ive went into explanation about the treatment...but ill be glad to post some pics later when I do it again

Well Today is Mandy's 5 month old bday

So she is currently in the process of being pampered...

Ive still been only using the Trader Joes and Suave Naturals, and cleansing with Baking Soda and my hair has really loved the change..

I have so much less frizz..and more curls...My hair also retains moisture alot better, and is less dry than it previously was...










The growth is ok....im becoming impatient a little..BUT im proud of my hair and having a good time...ill try to find some updated pics to post..
