Hair washing Empty Hair washing

Post by Renny 11th June 2010, 12:01 am

Hi Ladies,

I have a question about leave in conditioner - I assumed I put it on and leave it in, but then I was watching some Youtube videos today and several people rinsed their leave in out?

Thanks,

Rhonda

I leave my leave-in in. I may dilute it with a little water, but I definitely make sure I can still feel the slip and know that product is still in the hair. I think I've seen some YouTube videos with folks rinsing the Kinky Curly Knot Today a bit to help distribute the product evenly through their hair.

Thanks Free2Be,

I cowashed this morning and then put my leave-in on and left it in. I love the way it feels.

I hope they aren't washing it out completely, or else it would defeat the purpose of it being a "leave-in". The leave-ins I do use are usually pretty liquid-y and diluted, so I use it in its original form. (I now mostly use diluted conditioner as my leave-in.)

It's five hours later and I'm still touching my hair. It's so soft.

What leave-in do you use?

Summer,

I'm using Nexxus Humectin. Nexxus and Paul Mitchell have always been a great products for my hair. I do plan to experiment with some organic shampoos and no cones in the future, but for now I'll stick with what's working.

What about you? I'm quickly becoming a product junkie. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] What do you like?

Omg, I'm already a PJ; I'm just in denial, lol. I used to use the Alba Botanica Leave-in and loved it, but then my hair started to act really weird and hate everything, so now I'm using extra virgin coconut oil as a moisturizer. I also like Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose, and I'm going to try the AO White Camellia in a bit. See? I have problems [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I stared at Aubrey Organics is morning for a long time. I ended up buying Tresmee Moisture Rich for a second cowash product because it was on sale for $3.49. Really big bottle. I cowashed this morning with Herbal Essence Hello Hydration. I bought that yesterday. I'm not sure how I feel about it, but my hair feels good. Oh, by the way, congrads on your transition! Now don't let me promote any PJ-ism, lol. How is the Hello Hydration? Do you get any build-up? I know it has "bis-aminopropyl dimethicone" in it, and I'm wondering if that builds up or something. I've been meaning to try it since so many people rave about, but I already have like 3 conditioners and my boyfriend says that I'm not allowed to get any more until those are finished.

Today was the first time I used it, because this was my first co-wash. When I rinsed I felt like my hair felt kind of weird. Not as good as it feels when I use my Nexxus shampoo, so I felt strange about it. It actually felt less soft. It's hard to say. I'll have to cowash with other things to compare. Once I put my leave-in and sprayed with my protective mist and did my whole moisturizing routine it was back to butter. It's all shrunk up.

Hmm, I might look into the HEHH a little more. Glad you're finding things that work for you, though.

But, yea I know, it's a problem, lol >_<
