Not Allowed in Beauty Supply Stores!

So I live in a town that doesn't really cater to women of color with natural hair so the other day I took the 40 min drive to get some supplies. OMG it was ridiculous. I planned on getting one, maybe two items at the most, yeah no! I left with all kinds of great goodies! I finally found Jamaican Black Castor Oil! Woot! My edges will be conquered! in no time Harriet's gonna look like this I also bought Coconut Oil, professional scissors to trim my ends, rollers.. I could keep on going. Does this happen to you when you go shopping or do I just need to control my PJ-ism? lololol

no, is not you....is me, too...for example, i just meant to get a new set of bobby pins from wal-mart the other day....HA!!!! i came out with plenty of other pins and decors for my hair, etc....and last week i just needed ONE conditioner to co-wash...tell me why I bought FOUR!!!!!! lol

Girl, I need help myself with the PJ'ism, lol! I look everytime I'm out, and 9 times out of 10 I buy something. It's an addiction, lol

LOL! There's no cure...we'll always be on the lookout for next best moisturizer/conditioner styler and deep conditioner.

I go through periods where I don't buy or try anything new...and then it hits me like a truck, and I've spent 100 dollars on new products before I even realize it

I went to Walmart to get food necessities (milk, eggs, sugar, juice) and ended up getting 9 headbands, hair ties, hair scissors, 2 new types of conditioner, and a bunch more stuff.

I don't notice it until I check my wallet and it's empty lol

I purposely avoid Walmart bc of my PJism- Im good @ Target bc i think their hair accessories are too expensive. But Walmart (den of inequity- lol) grabs hold of you...and I be feeling like Pooky in New Jack City "It be callllllin me" [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I'm such a PJ. And not just for hair products. I'm in a sew-in right now, so I haven't been splurging on conditioners or any other styling aids, but I've been buying makeup like nobody's business. It's really sad.

I am the PJ that other PJs come to to try a new product! LOL. I am almost willing to try most things once. My wallet hates me!!

OK LADIES FUNNY THING!!! I LEFT THE MOVIES TONIGHT AND WENT TO THE 24HOUR WALGREEN TO GET SOME SINUS PILLS WITH A DECONGESTANT... WHILE I WAS WAITING AT THE PHARMACY I SAW A COUPON FOR CONTACT SOLUTION BECAUSE I WAS OUT SO I PICKED SOME UP. I TURNED AROUND AND I'M 2 AISLES FROM THE HAIR PRODUCTS SO YOU KNOW I HAVE TO GO SEE WHAT THEY HAVE. WELL I WAS THINKING ABOUT ADDING ROSEMARY INTO MY COLLECTION TO HELP WITH GROWTH AND BIOINFUSION HAS A ROSEMARY MINT CONDITIONER AND THE 33 OZ WAS ON SALE FOR LIKE 14 BUCKS...I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH MY BEST FRIEND SHE TALKED ME OUT OF THE BIG ONE BECAUSE I NEVER TRIED IT SO I GOT 2 OF THE 1.99 SIZES TO TRY OUT.

THE LADIES ON HERE HAD JUST CONVINCED ME TO GET RID OF SOME PRODUCT. BUT WHAT DID I DO. I GO BUY MORE...I NEED HELP!!! OR MAYBE NOT.

This is so funny! I have done pretty much everything that every one has talked about. I have enough conditioner to last for the rest of the year...no I have enough to get me through the winter months, but please no that I'm looking at other conditioners to try ha haha And Whole Foods is not a good place for me. I always need a new oil to put in a mix or add to something. My hair looks at my wallet and says, "why are you complaining? Look at me! lol you ladies are funny. this definitely makes me feel better about my addiction. everytime i'm in target with my boyfriend, he leaves me and goes to the electronics section cuz i'm in the hair section for like 45 minutes deciding on one conditioner or the other. I don't think anyone ever goes in a store to get what they had their mind set on getting. I know I don't lol! I try to make a list but that doesn't work. My husband would wait in the car and give me just enough money to get what's on my list. But I'm like "it's ok,I have my debit card with me" lol. I remember he saw me through the window at family dollar buying ambi and dog treats (which wasn't on the list). he called me on my cell phone and said "I see ya buying ambi and dog treats"! LOL all I could do is laugh and say "that's not me" LOL it's like I go crazy when I get in a store. I don't know when to stop putting things in my basket lol. And God help me if I go in the dollar tree lol IT'S OVER!!!!!!

I went to Target this evening for envelopes, bounce, and tape...I came out with baby shower gifts (so cute...3 outfits, nursing pads, and nipple cream), cards, Aussie Moist (I need to try it for my conditioner only method), glue (my son has a project), and batteries for the remote (let me think...which remote needs batteries).

LOL No, seriously, you and everyone else here has such great advice and product reviews that I can't help but wanting/needing to try new products in hopes to find something better than the last. I just bought the TJ recs from the other day. Haven't tried them, yet, but can't wait!

Hilarious! I just got that Aussie Moist for $5 too and tried it today...well see how the results turn out as I'm using it for the conditioner only method.

Found a cool way to store some of my products. My dresser top was getting ridiculous and I hate having to take up so much space in my bathroom closet. Sadly, I still have about 8 conditioners and 3 shampoos on the shower ledge (I need to have those handy in the shower. Now that I have more room on my dresser, I can buy more products:)

I really want to try the moisture maniac (I know MahoganyCurls loves it). Right now it's 60% off at a local salon-- I'm trying soooo hard but like Lena73 said, "it be calling me." The bottle just seems so small. The local TJ Maxx does have the TIGI Curls Rock (the big bottle for $10). I may have to try that for my fix. This thread is not helping my addiction, lol.

MahoganyCurls is my hair idol and she is the reason I tried MM and as usual she never lets me down!!

I hide my some of my stuff too. My honey's always fussing about me clogging the cabinets and counters. I've been natural since '95 so I've tried some stuff two times! I read how someone else uses it and if its viable for my texture I'll try it. Right now I'm rocking some double strands from a natural hair salon and she turned me on to Taliah Waajid's products while I was there. I think I had avoided them because of too much chemical stuff before, but I've got to admit that my hair feels silky and almost straight . Now Nikki's turned me on to butters n bars and I can't wait to order some things! I need a 12 step program for products~
